P.O.V: Hamlet, Denmark Graveyard
I had left Horatio at the castle. it was night now, so I hope he would occupy himself with something. he is a scholar.. I'm sure he'd find anything to do.
meanwhile, I was scheduled to meet with Laertes. I thought the graveyard would be peaceful enough. and right I was. it was calming, quiet, comforting.. and the light fog out this night just added to the scene.
it was not so with Laertes. he was furious as he charged to me. he was heated and I was ready to pull my sword out in case I needed to defended myself.
he stopped right Infront of my face though "hand off the handle. now." I for some reason obeyed, lifting my hand from the handle of my sword and bringing both of my hands to my back.
"I have nothing." I said to him, sternly "you have nothing for my sister either! you are no noble man, Hamlet. you are a snake!" he hissed out. so much for calling me the snake..
"I have my love for your sister, stronger than your hatred for me." I smirked. that had to stump him. but oh should I have known how stubborn he is.
"there is no comparison worse. I have said I don't like you, not that I hate you. there for you still have nothing for my sister." Laertes looked at me with a clear passion of hatred in his eyes. it was... oddly... attractive.
he was a man who knew what he wanted. he knew how to get it and he knew how to stop things. and he wanted to stop my relationship with his sister. that was his passion.
and I do.. like. a man who knows what he wants "and yet she sees me oft?"
Laertes looked like he wanted to knock me out now. I knew he wouldn't, because it wasn't fair and I was the Prince of the place where he lived.
"she sees you not of a snake; but of a lover. I see you as a thief and a snake! I know what you are Hamlet, and you wont get away with it so easily. I refuse to let my sister fall into some trap."
I sighed softly, backing up, only because he was still inches away from my face "get you a calming place, read the atmosphere nobel Laertes. keep your word if you must, but at least speak with calmness. I cannot stand your anger."
"then maybe it is so that you are weak." Laertes back up with his arms crossed "that you are afraid I will do what's right?"
what a piece of a man, huh? "you will do what is wrong for your sister, separating us will cause her great sadness.."
Laertes shook his head "when she sees how she did not need you, then she will no longer dread for your presence. she will thank me for my actions."
"I beg your pardon?" I said quietly, as if I didn't hear him, even though I clearly did. I just sort of wanted to egg him on.
"she doesn't need you." Laertes said bluntly. I shrugged lightly as if to shrug Laertes off.
"she wants me." I brushed my nails off on the coat I was wearing, fixing my posture. I was trying to show my self off to be better than Laertes.
Laertes growled "hold your watch, Hamlet. I don't give in." he said before turning and storming off from the graveyard.
I stood with a proud smirk as I watched Laertes leave. well, I think it was a good talk. if there was any argument, I clearly had won.
but I still waited a little while after before I headed back myself. just in case he came back or anything of the sorts. I didn't want to leave my friends hanging.
but with all that said and done, I was on my way back. maybe tomorrow I could hang around Ophelia? just to mess with him more. to egg him on more. to show him how much happier she can be with me than her own brother...
