Oh my god, how did I forget? MY CHILD! I quickly went back upstairs and searched for my daughter. "No wonder I slept in, I didn't hear crying." I said to myself. "What if she got kidnapped? She could be anywhere. Well, she's a newborn so she couldn't have have gone far unless someone took her." I continued to talk to myself as I frantically looked around."Baby? What are you doing?" Zeke asked from the doorway. "Where's Ollie!?" I asked, not looking up at him. "Um, right here." he said. I look at him to see the baby asleep in his arms. "Oh my god, I almost had a heart attack." I said in relief. "Now, give me my baby." I said, holding out my arms. "Of course, my love." he said as he gently gave her to me.
We went downstairs and watch tv on the couch with the baby in my arms. "She looks like you." Zeke said, putting his arm around me. "How?" I asked. "Well, she has your eyes and your nose." "Well, I think she'll have your hair and your little butt chin." I said as I playing with his chin. "Of course she will." he said, playfully acting annoyed.
(A few hours later)
After a while of doing nothing, Zeke finally decided to speak. "Let's go visit my parents." he said. "They live all the way in New Mexico." I said. "And? So do your parents." he said. "Baby, let's think about that later. Besides, Ollie isn't even fit to travel yet." "Sure, she is. You can hold for most of the drive." he said. "We're driving?!" I exclaimed. "Well, yeah. I figured a plane would be too much for you and the baby." "Let me think about it." I said, shrugging.
All of a sudden, Annie burst through the door holding a bottle of tequila. "Oh my god, what happened?" I asked her as I stood up and gave the baby to Zeke. "Heyyyyyyyy. Did expect to see you here." she slurred. "Annie, we pretty much live with you." I said. "Ohhhhhhh." she said, stumbling around the house. "What the hell got you drinking?" I asked following her. "Oh well, let mister cheater tell you." "What?" "Yeah, Hayden cheated on me. With some chick at the club." she said, tearing up. "He's dead." I said. "Noooooo, let me suffer." she said as she slumped into a chair. "No, Ann's. He needs to know what he did to you." Zeke said. "Fine, I'm going to my room." she said as she got up and went upstairs.
"Oh, he is not gonna live to see another day." I said, pacing. "Baby, just calm down. It's none of our business." he said. "When my best friend's hurt, it is my business!" I shouted. Just then, Ollie started crying. "Ugh, give her to me." I said. "No, you need to chill out." "Ezekiel, she's crying. So she's probably hungry, now give me my daughter!" I yelled. "Ok ok." he said, giving me the baby. "Thank you." I said in a lower tone while walking away.
