JAKE'S SLEEP WAS RUDELY INTERRUPTED BY KNOCKING ON HIS BEDROOM DOOR. He groaned as he dragged himself out of bed. He opened the door just to see one person that he hated as of yesterday. His father, known as King Sim.

Jake tried to close the door but King Sim stopped him.

"Jake," he sighed, "I'm sorry about yesterday, get dressed so we can talk." King Sim left right after, knowing that Jake would protest.

Annoyed was one word to explain how Jake felt. But either way, he put some clothes on and headed out of his room. While he walked down the stairs, he heard voices that he could not recognize. He walked down further down the stairs, trying to see who the voices belonged to.

He stopped in his tracks, trying to get a closer look.

King Park was in his house! Jake quietly started walking backwards on the stairs.

"Jaeyun?" Jake jumped, turning around to see Lottie.

"What are you doing? Shouldn't you be heading down?" Lottie asked, confused.

"It'll be just a second Lottie" Jake awkwardly smiled before going back to his room. He felt like he needed to put better clothes on, and some random fancy cologne. After that, he made his way back down the stairs…again.

Jake walked into the living room seeing his parents and King Park and his son talking away. He cringed at his dad who was talking so happily and friendly towards the Parks'. Acting like he wasn't arguing with Jake the other day.

Jake took a deep breath before walking over to everyone.

"Yes it didn't take long– Ah hello Jaeyun," King Park greeted Jake as he walked in the living room. Jake mentally cursed as he became the center of attention. He quickly and quietly greeted King Park before standing beside his parents. They continued the conversation they were having.

And while they did that, Jungwon started to text Sunoo.

Jake :
Tell me why King Park and his son are
in my house. ☹️

Sunoo :
Wait- are you actually gonna marry him?

Jake :
That's what my DAD wants me to do
but I personally don't want to 😔

Jungwon :
Just tell your dad you don't want to?

Jake :
it's not that easy... I tried to and it resulted in me getting a bruise on my arm

Jungwon :
Sue your dad and then leave the country 🥰

Jake :
Jungwon. have you read your textbooks? Kings and Queens have a full exemption from getting arrested, sued, etc. 😭👎

Sunoo :
yikes...
aye, but I'll dress up as you and marry whatever that boys name is and then you can live my life.

Jake :

Jake's phone got snatched out of his hands by his mother. She gave him "The Look" and Jake took that as a sign to pay attention to the ongoing conversation.

"We've made a decision, we'll accept your request," King Sim announced.

King Park and his son were shocked, they didn't expect him to accept so fast. Jake was surprised too, but not for the same reason.
