Mr. Budd- Okay, Year 10s Before we start today's lesson, I've been told to remind you all
that the Truham-Higgs Carnival is Friday

[school bell rings]

Tao- Where's Charlie?
Nick- I thought he'd be here.
Tao- I thought he was eating with you.
Nick- Charlie avoiding you too?
Tao- I'm avoiding him.
Nick- Why?
Tao- Because I'm pissed off with him
Nick- Oh.

(Suspensive Music Playing )

[Nick & Tao's Reconciliation]
Nick (spoken)- But why you pissed?

Tao (spoken)- Charlie's my friend. I was worried about him joining the rugby team and becoming friends with you because I knew that he'd get bullied by some of the idiots in your year.
And guess what? He did. 

Tao (sung) - I'm done trying to protect him when he's forgotten I exist
like...l deserve to be appreciated.
I honestly no longer care
You made all my friends aided and abetted your entire affair

If he'd just told me
That you two were going out, Maybe I would've done things differently.
Maybe I would have stayed more low-key

Tao(spoken)- Harry would have left us alone.
I think Charlie might be nervous about telling you because he really cares about your opinion.
Because he loves you.

Nick(spoken)- Yeah

Tao(spoken)- Yeah. Well, I'll believe it
when I actually see it.
Why's he avoiding you?

Nick(sung)- I think maybe... why
He's finding it hard having to lie
He's not angry about me being in the closet
But he hates us being a secret
like...He knows I'm not ready to come out, but..

I hate seeing him struggle lying to you
The relief of if you only knew
And I don't know what I'm supposed to do

Tao(spoken)-Look...
I've known Charlie since we were 11
and he's always had a tendency
to believe that him just existing
is annoying for other people.

Nick(spoken)- Yeah. I sort of got that impression.

Tao(spoken)- He's not going to force you
to come out. Which is good.
He would literally never tell you this,
but he probably wants to be something more than "secret guy you kiss sometimes on the down-low."

Tao, (sung) - And if you can't give him more
What was this all for?
Not to over step or pry, I just wanna clarify
A relationship does imply
That everything is mutual
So if Charlie is really your equal
Please think it through
No one is forcing you
But this secret
I mean, it won't help
It's always gonna make him feel a little bit crap about himself.

Nick (Sung)- Oh.
I wish I should've been a little bit braver

Tao- You should talk to him.
Nick- -Yeah, so should you.
Tao- No. I'm gonna stay pissed off with him for a bit longer.
Nick- You should try rugby. It's good for releasing negative emotions.
