After Winnie was chosen to be the next member of BTS in late 2013, Big Hit Entertainment had a couple ideas for her persona.
But the main one, Hitman Bang really pushed for Winnie having a confident and bond personality with a little bit of sass added to the mix.
In fact, the company already had a stage picked for her, "Queenie".
Hitman Bang called it, "Swag personality" and believed it will mix well with the boy's hip-hop and tough concepts.
However, Valentina fought against it.
She knew Winnie wouldn't agree with it and Valentina brought up a good point by informing that if Winnie did go with that stage persona, she would enforce a stereotype of Black women always being the bold and sass.
With hearing Valentina's concerns and the company's new efforts of rebranding BTS for the main stream public, Winnie's "Swag personality" was dropped by early 2014 when Winnie arrived in Korea.
