May made her way into her apartment that afternoon. "Lilly are you home" She called out.

Lilly poked her head out of the kitchen. " Yeah just making me a cup of tea. You're home early."

"You need to wear something really nice for our weekly dinner with Jill and Joe. We have a very special and important guest joining us tonight"

"Who?" She asked very confused.

"Back in 2019 do you remember reading about that landslide victory in Ukraine"

"Yeah that comedian and actor Volodymyr Zelenskyy oh my God he's Joe's guest"

"He is."

"Wow he's really cute. Not my type but Attractive none the less"

"He has gorgeous brown eyes" May realizing what she said covered her mouth and blushed.

"OH my God May has her first crush. Do you know how long I have been waiting for this day. Your 39 and I had given up hope. You have to tell me about him"

At that moment mays phone dinged with a text message. She looked at it and saw it was him.

V: why do I get the feeling you are talking about me.

M: telling my little sister. She's thrilled. We kept up with the election and she cheered when she read you had won.

V: I'm looking forward to meeting her. Also President Biden threatened me if I hurt you. I told him that I wasn't going to. He's acting like I asked you to be my um whats that word in English.

M: girlfriend.

V: that's the word. He really acts like your father.

M: well in a way he is. He's looked out for me and my sister for over 10 years now.

V: I'm not going to keep you long. I know you have to get ready.

M: ok I'll see you soon

" oh my God you got his number" Lilly practically squeeled.

" he insisted since we are friends now" May replied.

"May I can't believe this. You not only have a crush but you also now have a friend who isn't the now president and first Lady."

"President Biden and Madame first Lady are family"

"OH I so can't wait to meet him"

"Please don't embarrass me President Biden already threatened him"

"Doesn't surprise me honestly anyway I'm going to get ready oh and May show off some leg with that black skirt oh and some cleavage. Trust me on this"

"Lilly stop"

" Please trust me. It's not like it's slutty."

May sighed."fine" Before she headed off to her room.

May stood looking at the outfit she had chosen. The black skirt that came to her knees and a red button up shirt paired with the only pair of black heels she owned. She then got dressed and left a few buttons open like her sister had said and she put her heels on just as her sister came walking in. "You look nice now let's do something with your makeup seeing as you already did a military bun." And so Lilly went to work.

"Not too much Lilly"

"I know I know" She replied. She stepped back a few minutes later. " go look"

May stood up from her bed and made her way into the master bath. "OH wow" Lilly didn't do much just some foundation and blush eyeliner and mascara.

"You look beautiful May"

"I do" She said smiling. "Ready to go"

"Eager to get back to him are you"

"No" She said blushing.

Lilly just laughed as she followed May out of the house. When they arrived Joe, Jill, and Volodymyr were out there waiting. May's heart beat faster as she saw the smile on his face. As if he had been laughing. "What a breathtaking smile" Lilly chimed as they made their way up the steps.

"You both look beautiful." Jill said as she hugged them. "And I see Lilly has finally convinced you to wear makeup."

"OH don't remind me"

"I think you look fine May" Volodymyr chuckled.

May turned to him and smiled. "Thanks President Zelenskyy"

"You are welcome." He held his arm out."Please allow me to escort you inside."

May blushed. "Why do I get the feeling you are not giving me a choice"

" that would be correct"

"Very well I guess" She said as she linked her arm with his and he led her inside.

Lilly was practically bouncing with excitement and whispered. "They are so cute"

Jill leaned over and said "we think so too. We were hoping they would hit it off. It's part of why we asked him to come visit"

Lilly smiled. " you two are so bad" Before heading inside.

The five of them sat at dinner eating and talking. Volodymyr and May decided that she would take him to different monuments tomorrow. Lilly, Jill, and Joe all smiled as they noticed that he never once took his eyes off her until both her and Lilly were down the road and out of site.
