"Stay safe and don't get too dirty" is the last things I hear as I reach the end of the ramp to board the plane.
I laugh and look back nodding at her so she knows I got the message. I will stay safe I've travelled before. This will be a new destination to actually visit. We've seen so many pictures and heard a lot of things but there is nothing like being in a city that you've never stepped foot in before.
Walking down the isle to my seat isn't too bad because we entered from the second door and skipped the first half of the plane. I hate walking by all the wealthy business class passengers who dress all proper on a flight. Don't get me wrong I certainly wouldn't describe my self as a dag but when flying you've got to be comfortable.
"Ah here we are" the person in front of me mutters, slipping into their seat to let me pass by before settling in.
Moving past her I kneel to grab hold of my carry-on suit case and lift it above my head. As I do so I silently scold my self for forgetting to zip the front pocket of my floral mini suitcase all the way because several of my information pamphlets fall to the floor like autumn leaves.
Kneeling down I collect all but one of them from the grey isle carpet which they landed upon. A hand is extended out towards me holding the last pamphlet. Recognizing the striped bands that decorated the wrists my eyes followed up the blazer to be met by the kind eyes of one of the air stewards.
"Thankyou" I respond accepting the pamphlet as well as the hand he offered to help me up.
"Most welcome, especially someone generous enough to take part on one of these trips, particularly this one" the air steward says to me referring to the pamphlet he'd retrieved.
"You know about this exact one?" I question.
"Yes I've taken part my self in the past, the owner was very hospitable and makes groups feel very safe" He goes on to explain.
"Oh uh well that's good to hear" I turn on my tip toes zipping the pocket shut with all the pamphlets concealed with in. The air steward closes the overhead compartment for me "Enjoy the flight miss" he says continuing towards the front of the plane. I nod my head with an appreciative smile of thanks as I take my seat by the window. Adjusting my neck pillow i scroll through the entertainment guide making a mental list of movies i can watch to kill some time of this flight.
