"Still as much of a pig as always I see" Amanda teases.
I erupt into laughter to her comment on my appetite with my mouth full of the last piece of meat lovers.
"Alright alright and I bet you still hibernate like a bear! Speaking of which, where are you making me sleep?" I query.
"With the dog" Amanda remarks a bit too seriously.
I pause for a moment absorbing the tone of her comment and then my brain clicks.
"You don't have a dog" I retort.
Pushing the wooden chair out from under her she stood up and padded across the room towards the hallway. Like a puppy I followed her to the door she stopped by. I ran and jumped on the double bed before pushing my welcome.
"So what time are you making me breakfast?" I tested her tolerance of me.
"After you've made me coffee" she shot back with a challenging smirk.
"Thankyou for letting me stay here"
"It's fine just don't get two comfortable, two nights and were out"
"Adventureee timeeee"
"We'll be far from the comfort of watching that show you know that don't you" Amanda responds, catching on to my reference to a TV. show.
"Can't wait for it!"
"Night Millz" she dismisses me.
"Wait, do you have waffle ingredients?" I quickly ask.
"Sure do" she turns out the lights and shuts the door.
Curling up under the covers I hear Amanda call out "Don't forget I like them crispy!"
I'm too exhausted to think of a witty response so with that I'm out like a light.

The last two days Amanda has shown me around the city. It's a really nice place I can understand why she chose to study here. The sun hasn't shown it self yet but today is the day we the program begins and it's time to get going.
"Shots window seat" I chirp moving past Amanda a bit too energetically for the hour of the day.
"Of course your majesty" she bows her head still heavy with sleep before taking her seat next to me and getting comfortable.
It's early in the morning and the sun is about to rise so we fall asleep leaning on one another to get some shut.
The first few hours' drive are passed with the bus curtains slid shut. Eventually my eyes are bothered by flickering light. Squinting I investigate the source to find that two rows in front of our seats someone decided to open it. It's open just enough to allow the morning sun to glare through and disturb the sleep I had planned to indulge in for an other hour.
Amanda is peaceful with her legs sprawled across the isle so I don't want to bother her but this light really is frustrating me. I Extend my legs down to the floor to relieve cramps in my calves, wondering if I'll be strong enough to last this trip. The seats directly in front of ours are vacant although a mop of messy brown hair forward occupies the ones two rows.
"Excuse me, uh sir?" I try to get his attention.
I reach forwards over the chair to touch his head, to have my hand swatted away like a fly.
"What are you doing?" he asks with a voice irritated and laced with confusion. The man turns around revealing his stubble sprinkled young face. His honey brown eyes examine me from head to shoulders before I cautiously open my mouth to speak.
"I was wondering if you could shut your curtain? The sun is glaring into my eyes". I ask politely.
"Oh, hm I suppose so, but in an hour I'm opening it, deal?" He offers in a 'take it or leave it' manner.
"Deal" I reply thankfully as he nods his head and obliges sliding the curtain shut. As he turns his back to me I sink back into my seat and close my eyes.
