I am LIVID!

I'm not sure if most of you have seen or heard, but it has been leaked that congress will most likely be overturning Roe V Wade and its absolutely disgusting.

A woman's body is her own. No one should have control over that.

Roe V Wade protects women's right ya'll! Not only does it protect a woman's right to an abortion, but it protects gay marriage, the right to birth control, ALL TYPES INCLUDING CONDOMS AND IUD's, and more! Roe V Wade is like an umbrella, abortion is the big one, but so much more falls under it as well.

Banning abortions only bans SAFE abortions. Women WILL die. This is not okay.

Women raped will not be excused.

CHILDREN who are raped will not be excused.

Women who are high risked will not be excused. This means that if you get pregnant and your doctor says "Hey, you might die giving birth", you are not allowed to get an abortion. If you have cancer, and end up pregnant, guess what, you will not be able to terminate your pregnancy.

If you wanted a child and unfortunately have a miscarriage, but can't prove it was accidental, YOU WILL GO TO PRISON. It has happened in Texas already.

THIS IS NOT PRO-LIFE! THIS IS ABOUT CONTROLLING WOMEN!

This is absolutely disgusting. Women have fought so hard for basic rights and now they're taking it away. If you don't care or believe a clump of cells is more important than a living person, then fuck off.

Do not use adoption as an excuse. Hundreds of children are starving and being sent to abusive homes for the money. Adoption in the U.S is $30,000. Who can afford that? And the people who CAN afford it, are ignoring them and swear they're 'Pro-Life'.

Minimum wage is too low for the cost of living. I live in California, minimum wage here is $15 the hour and rent is $1,500 or more. How the fuck is that acceptable? And this isn't including necessities like food, electricity, gas, etc. You simply can't not afford a child even if you wanted one.

Abortion is healthcare. Plain and simple.

Sex is human, sex is healthy. Do not de-humanize it, do not view it as something that is evil because it is not.

Teach young teens and teenagers about safe sex. Tell them about the different forms of birth control. The more sex and sex education is ignored, the more teenagers are going to get curious and bam! you have pregnant 15 year old. Then what?

The rich, white families are going to get an abortion.

The poor, families of color are going to suffer.

Banning abortion is about control over women and keeping the poor, poor. And who makes up most of the lower class? PEOPLE OF COLOR!!

I am a POC women, this affects me directly. I am not okay with this.

Let's not forget that they are forcing women to birth children and not helping them at all. No healthcare benefits, no maternity leave, nothing.

I'm actually terrified. In addition to all of this, think about the horrors women will face with men. If we are denied the ability to get an abortion and the ability to get birth control, you think hook up culture will be the same? NO. Women don't want to risk pregnancy! Especially if children are not on their mind. The realization that women will have to say 'No' to men, is scary. Some men do not take 'No' for answer. Some men get violent. Women have lost their lives because they said 'No' to man.

And what's going to happen to men if they in-pregnant a girl? Will they have to pay child support? Who knows, we know how men are treated in the US versus women. Overturning Roe V Wade is clear evidence.

Call your state representatives to show support to keep Roe v Wade.

I know this has nothing to do with the story, but none of what is happening is okay. I will get back to writing, I have some chapters done already but I wanted to take time to write about this because of how important it is. It is not official, but a majority have voted in favor of overturning it already. Understand that it wont stop here either. They will continue to tear down our rights if we do not fight back.
