Returning her compact mirror into her makeup pack, Jay slips it back into her backpack sat on the room's armchair before grabbing her cropped leather jacket from the bed. Leaving Nate in the ensuite, Jay and Umbra make their way to the main living area of the lake house on to stop when Lenny clears his throat. Arching a brow in silent challenge for her father to tell her to go change, Jay crosses her arms watching Lenny open his mouth; only for him to close it with a sigh in sync with his shoulders dropping in defeat.
"I'm not gonna win this am I?"
Only smirking in response, Jay makes her way down the final few steps with the beat of her heels matching the click of Umbra's claws against the wood flooring.
"Does that dog go anywhere without her?" Higgins questions, noting that he hasn't seen the teen without the Bullypit once.
"Not since the day she adopted him." Lenny answers shrugging his shoulders before looking over to Jay sat on the couch on the opposite side of the space.
20 minutes later, Roxanne and Deanna are the last two ready; each mother having a difference reason for their late appearance. The parents soon jump into carpool plans for getting to the diner, leading to Jay tuning them out while running her nails up and down Umbra's neck.
"Okay, so. Who's going in what car?" Eric asks. "Cause with Curly here, we have two extra seats. One if Donna's going in our car."
Excitement fills Donna and Charlotte's eyes as their heads snap towards each other, before glancing at the girl sat on the couch. Following a seemingly telepathic conversation both girls race towards Jay with puppy dog eyes already prepared.
"Can we ride with you again?" Donna asks almost skidding to a stop in front of Jay, with Charlotte behind her.
"Please, Blue-Jay." Charlotte adds making the teen in question glance up at the nickname.
"I'll meet you at the car." Jay answers pulling the keys from her back pocket and tossing them towards the McKenzie girl, with an amused smile playing on her lips.
The two nine year olds share an excited squeal before racing out of the lake house to the SRT Hellcat outside, the Lamonsoff and McKenzie parents both smiling sweetly at how quick their daughters have taken to the older girl.
"Well, I think that answers who's in our car." Kurt comments.
"So, same cars as the drive here?" Lenny clarifies earning a round of agreement from the other adults.
Everyone then piles out of the lake house with Nate and Jay being the last to leave. Jay only departing after pressing a loving kiss to the top of Umbra's head.

Ruffling Keithie's hair as she walks past, Jay claims a seat on the bench between her eldest baby brother and Eric Lamonsoff when a hand taps her left shoulder. Instantly looking to her right, Jay throws Nate a playful glare as he sits on the bench at the head of the table.
