Despite the neglect that Lucy had received from her father, she grew up to a teenage girl under the guidance of the Hearftilia house's employees. Though the way that Lucy had her nose buried in magic research worried Bero a tad bit, but all in all, they were relieved to see that Lucy grew up well and healthy.

Other than her occasional excursions that took weeks, Lucy's father considered it as some form of experience for the young heir. And during those times, Lucy managed to acquire additional keys that she had made a contract with. Though some of them came to her magically like some sort of coincidence whenever she went out.

It had become the usual in which Lucy left every few weeks that the employees considered it the norm around the Heartfilia mansion.

Their relief lasted short when the girl had visited her father one day proclaiming that she was leaving the house for good. It was more of a demand rather than a request to her father.

And so she left, without taking a single penny that her father had offered her. She carried no bags and left with only the keys she managed to obtain throughout her life as a Heartfilia.

The most that Lucy had trouble with was convincing the bawling grown ups that had seen her off. They had cried and tried to convince her to stay, and though she felt bad seeing them like that, she still has to leave.

Lucy parted with them with words of reassurance and told them how grateful she was on treating her like a normal child despite her abnormal un-childlike mannerisms.

Her journey started quick since she used a bit of a cheat to acquire a map. Since she has no knowledge on the geography of this world, she requested Qui for a map. Her previous excursions were of no help since her father always sent someone to escort her. Riding a carriage during a journey made no contribution to her knowledge. Though it was a bit weird on how they weren't able to gain access to memories of what would happen in the future. It was as if their memories about the show Fairy Tail was deliberately sealed. So with that, they had no clue on what the characters looked like or what their name even is. It must have been that selfish gold bastard. She was sure that that guy/girl/person is now cackling at her troubles.

Lucy stepped into the train station, fuming at the thought that she was clueless. Her save point and seer abilities aren't working in tip top shape so she is left to wander around the plot. They should've at least gave her info on how to join guilds. It's not like she could just go to Fairy Tail and tell them she wants to join... (Right?)

"Well, if they want this then let fate decide." she grumbled as she stepped on the platform. If she knew that her memories would get sealed the moment she grew up, then she might have made at least a short record of what is to happen in the near future. There's also this annoying recurring dream that someone keeps showing her. Like, why would she ever want to fall in love. Remembering those words of love she said in the dream, made goosebumps appear on her whole body.

"Urgh!" as soon as the train moved, so did the noise behind Lucy sounded. At the other side of where she was sitting, a young man looked like he would hurl any second now, and beside him was a cat, a talking cat, that consoled the car sick man but ran his paws in circles on the man's back.

It is a world of magic, so she guesses things like talking cats can be a norm around here. The man had light pink hair, which was a bit unusual, but since this is a world of magic, colored hairs might've been also the norm. Judging by the man's expression, he would hurl out all he had for breakfast any moment now.

"Urghghh...!" that sounded like some kind of substance came up, gross is what Lucy thought.

"Natsu... hang in there. It'll only be an hour or so." the cat said with a voice of worry yet laced with a bit of mocking. It seems like the man, Natsu, getting carsick was a daily occurrence.
