After five long months, Jisoo had made significant strides in her recovery at the hospital. Haein was overjoyed to see her progress and made sure to engage with her regularly to strengthen their bond. Jisoo no longer relied on life support machines; her breathing had improved, giving Haein a glimmer of hope that she would awaken soon. Holding her hand gently, he whispered words of encouragement into her ear, willing her to open her eyes.
"My angel... I'm here... I'm always here for you, can you hear me? You're doing so much better now... I'm so proud of you. We miss you so much, and we can't wait for you to come back home. Please, don't give up..." Haein whispered gently into Jisoo's left ear as he held her hand tightly. He then brought her hand close to his lips and planted a tender kiss on it, hoping his love and encouragement would reach her and bring her back to him.
"I love you... please come back to me," Haein whispered, gently stroking Jisoo's hand. Although Jisoo could hear Haein's words clearly, she struggled to control her body, feeling as though her mind was disconnected from it. Despite this, she made a concerted effort to respond to him. Haein suddenly noticed a slight movement of Jisoo's eyebrows, filling him with a profound sense of joy and hope.
"Jisoo? I can see you!! I know you're trying your best..." Haein exclaimed, kissing her hand once more. However, shortly after, she slipped back into a deep slumber, exhausted from her efforts.

Mrs. Lee and Ji Yeon had moved in with Haein and Jae Sung in their new home. They gladly accepted Haein's invitation to stay with them, as he felt a strong sense of responsibility to care for Jisoo's family. Keeping them close was also important, especially for Jae Sung, since he would regularly visit Jisoo in the hospital and leaving him with them. Ji Yeon, already a rising chef in Seoul, had gained recognition from the Korean public, particularly for being Mi Young's older sister.
Mrs. Lee was in the garden, keeping a watchful eye on her grandson, Jae Sung, who had become a lively and energetic boy now that he had a bigger space to play in. "Jae Sung! Don't run so fast, you might trip!" she called out, concerned, as she observed him darting around the bushes.
