"Alright, explain to me what the hell just happened?!" Kotori asked the three spirits in an interrogating manner with her lollipop in her mouth, "Tell me now or I'll throw you off the Fraxinus."

"But we can fly," Artemis, Shogun and Dream thought to themselves.

"No need to be that harsh Kotori," Shido said to her in order to calm her down, "Also, isn't that too much lollipop? You'll get a toothache at this rate."

"Don't stray from topic," Kotori said as she pulled her lollipop from her mouth, "Besides, I've been brushing my teeth daily, so I'm good. NOW BACK TO TOPIC."

"Okay, okay. I'll explain to you," Dream started, "The reason Artemis lives is because Mana never did kill him."

"ELABORATE," Kotori, and Shogun said in unison.

"Wait, if I remember correctly," Artemis started, "The moment your shuriken hit me, I saw another version of me as I was thrown back and lost consciousness."

"That is correct," Dream started again, "The shuriken that I managed to hit you with is a shuriken imbued with the 8th Number, Het which has the power of making Temporal Clones of the target."

"So you're saying Mana just killed a Fake Artemis?" Shogun asked him curiously.

"Spot on," Dream answered.

"Interesting," Kotori said as she sucked on her lollipop, "Now then, let me show something even more interesting."

She then pressed some buttons as a holographic screen appeared in front of the three spirits. It shows a silhouette of a girl and some numbers that are a bit hard to read. But upon further inspection, Artemis can make out the information in front of him.

"Is this..." Artemis asked Kotori, "Mana's magical energy levels? What the hell is with these numbers?"

"Great observation Artemis," Kotori said to him, "Yes, this is Takamiya Mana's magic energy level. It's surprising that she can survive with this much energy in her body."

"That explains her skill," Shogun said to her, "But this must've had a cost right? No normal human can handle this much energy without any setbacks."

"Well, it has some setbacks," Kotori said with a bit of a concerned expression, "Shido, you might not like the sound of this but... Due to the amount of magical energy inside her body... She only has 10 years to live."

"WHAT?!" Shido, Artemis, Dream and Shogun said in unison.

"What? How?" Shido said as he fell on his knees, "Who could've done this?"

"The answer is pretty obvious really," Artemis said to him, "She's affiliated with DEM, correct? Then they must've done this to her."

"Alright that is it, DEM," Artemis thought to himself as he tightened his grip, "THIS IS THE LAST STRAW.... Calm down Natsuro, don't let anger make you act carelessly."

"Alright, we'll talk about this later, Shido," Kotori said as she raised her hand, "And for the three of you, I'll keep in touch if we find any new information. In the meantime, stay vigilant, you guys might be targeted again."

"Alright." The three of them replied in unison.

Kotori then snapped her fingers as the same light covered the three spirits, teleporting them off the Fraxinus and into the alleys of Tengu City.

"Alright, see you later Dream," Artemis said as he extended his fist alongside Shogun, "Stay Vigilant."

"I will, my friend," Dream said as he extended his fist and formed a triple fist bump, "You too."

They then went their separate ways as the sun begins to set in the horizon. Unknown to them, a figure with a shining white armor oversees the three spirits from a nearby rooftop, it then turned around and jumped out of sight.

The next day rolled around with shining skies, good weather and all looked well. But in reality, an issue has appeared at Raizen High.

"I heard that the new student, Kurumi, was absent this morning," Natsuro said to Neri in the school hallway, "The Disciplinary Committee member from Shido's class reported to me this morning."

"Hmm... That's probably normal," Neri replied to him, "She literally did run away from the crime scene yesterday. Maybe she went into hiding or something."

While rubbing his chin, Natsuro replied to his twin, "Well that does make sen-"

Before he could finish his sentence, a mysterious veil suddenly covered the whole school from the outside and one by one,  the students around them suddenly began to fall unconscious.

"What the hell is going on?!" one of the students yelled.

"Why am I feeling-" another student said before he fell unconscious.

"Wh-what is this?" Natsuro stuttered, "What's going on?"

"Well standing still won't answer anything," Neri said as she pulled Natsuro and ran.

"We need to change," Natsuro said as they ran past more unconscious students, "Let's find an empty classroom."

"Let's see," Neri said as she opened a classroom door to check whether it was empty, "This one."

"A spirit must've done this," Natsuro said to Neri as they got into the classroom and closed the door behind them.

"Yeah," Neri replied, "You ready?"

"Yea," Natsuro replied to his twin after he made sure the coast was clear, "Now."

"Eli," the twins said as their respective school uniforms turned into their respective astral suits and dresses

"Alright let's go do this," Natsuro said to Neri with determination as they both bolted out of the classroom.

Neri then replied to her twins as both started to run up the halls in order to find the source of the unknown veil. "Yeah, let's do th-,"

But she was then interrupted by the school speaker as a familiar voice could be heard from it, "Shido-san, can you hear me? If you have any business with me please proceed to the roof. I think you would prefer to come as soon as possible."

The announcer then ends her announcement with a maniacal laugh that was enough to haunt someone's nightmares.

The twins then stopped to look at each other and said in unison, "Kurumi."
