Y/n had decided to go shopping at the Elmore Mall to get new supplies for their first day of school. There were tons of people crowding the mall on this particular day; it always puzzled them as to why people waited last minute for everything... Wait never mind, they were doing the same thing. They walked through the mall shops for hours, nothing seeming out of place.
As they turned to leave the final store, they noticed a male figure standing near the entrance of the door, fiddling with his fingers. He had one eye and a very geometrical appearance; his "hair" was out of place and not even touching his head. What was even more strange was the patches of static that appeared in random places on his body. Y/n tried to speed walk past him but was stopped when he began stuttering.
"Uh, err hey," he said taking one step towards Y/n, one hand behind his head. They jerked to a stop out of surprise and quickly glanced at the boy. Call it cliché, but staring at the boy up close gave Y/n butterflies in their stomach.
"Uhhhhhh," Y/n muttered out. He gave a shocked expression and his eye widened a bit.
"Oh boy, are you ok? Your face is all red; I didn't mean to alarm you," he says, taking a small step forward in an effort to help.
Y/n jumps and says "Oh I'm- I'm fine! Really it's nothing." Then, without another word, they sped away from the shop and made a beeline towards the mall's exit. So far, they had gone the whole trip without interacting with anyone aside from the workers- talking to others often made them nervous. However this was different; it wasn't just a nervous, gut wrenching feeling in their stomach, but a pleasant, warm feeling in their heart- and face apparently.
"Agh stupid brain! We gotta focus on getting home before it's too late! Not some boy we just met- and hardly know!" Y/n thought to themself. As they exited the building, they took in deep breaths to calm themself down, closing their eyes to feel the breeze on their face. When their eyes opened again, they noticed the street lights had just turned on.
"Oh shoot, I promised mom I'd be home before the street lights came on... She's gonna kill me!" Y/n thought in a panic.
They began to run along the sidewalk, pulling out their phone to let their mom know they'd be home soon. Without looking up, they turned the corner and immediately crashed into another body.
"Ow!" Y/n yelped, rubbing their forehead. When they looked up, their face instantly heat up again.
"Oh sorry, did I hurt you?" A familiar voice asked. "Oh gosh your face is red again-."
Before Y/n could reply, they took a few wobbly steps backwards. Feeling themself growing lightheaded. First, cute boy??? Second, they just crashed into said cute boy; the situation could not be more embarrassing. They had hardly even spoke to each other at the store, and even now Y/n could not muster up anything. Being the easily-flustered, socially awkward kid they were, Y/n fainted on the spot; yea, big cliche.Y/n slowly began gaining consciousness again, rubbing their eyes to wake themself up. They lay there for a few seconds before sitting up. Wherever they were, it was very dark and cold. The ground they were laying on was actually quite soft and, upon further inspection, was actually a mattress.
"Did... cute pentagon boy kidnap me..???" Y/n thought, trying to get a feel for their surroundings. They attempted to stand up but was immediately pushed down again; not with extreme force but enough to knock them back onto the mattress.
"What the-", Y/n began. Right before they could finish their sentence, a disembodied voice shushed them.
"Shh shh shh, don't panic!" They whispered quickly, climbing over Y/n and gently putting a hand on their mouth. "I brought you to my house. You fainted and I panicked."
Y/n pulled off the hand from their mouth and stared at the single eye staring back at them. Based on today's events, this was definitely the boy from earlier. They began to feel their face heat up again realizing the position the two were in.
"Uhh could you... could you get off of me... please?" Y/n asked in a hushed voice.
"Oh shoot yeah, sorry," the boy said, getting up.
"Did you just kidnap me?" Y/n asked in a more straightforward manner than they intended to.
"What? No! I, I was just trying to... help," he said tentatively. The two sat in silence for what felt like an eternity. "You should be more uh, careful. You know, fainting in random places."
"Yea, uh thanks for the advice..."
...
"Are you sick?" he asked in a concerned tone.
"Um no?"
The boy turns on a flashlight, blinding Y/n for a second. He shone it in their direction and saw their face a dark shade of red.
"You are! Your face is red and it was like that when you fainted earlier," he says.
"What! No! I-I just..." Y/n trails off. "It's uhh allergies."
"Allergies?"
"Yea I'm uhh allergic to... stuff... in the air..."
"Like what? Maybe I could help."
"Ah no it's fine just... dust..?"
"Oh... ok."
...
More seconds of awkward silence passed before Y/n remembered why they had gone out in the first place.
"Oh shoot where's my stuff!?" They exclaimed. "And how long was I passed out for?! I should've been home already!"
"Don't worry, I brought it with me! It's in that corner over there," he says, motioning towards a few boxes.
Y/n jogs over the short distance and collects their belongings. As they turn to leave, they stop in their tracks for a moment. They spin on their heels to face the boy, who seemed to be staring at nothing on the ground.
"Thank you," Y/n said, staring at the floor.
He looks up at them, trying to suppress a smile but ultimately failing. "Anytime. Glad I could be of use."
Y/n walks up the staircase of this boy's "room" and gently twists the doorknob.
"W-wait hold on!" he calls. As Y/n turns, he puts a hand behind his head awkwardly and says "My name is Rob."
"Oh! I'm Y/n," they say with a small smile. He beams back up, satisfied with their response.
"I like that name," Rob says. "See you again soon!"
Y/n exits the room, closing the door behind themself gently. They were in another house that seemed strangely familiar, but their thoughts were interrupted by what they had just heard ROb say.
"Wait... 'see you again soon?' What the heck does that mean!?" They whisper-yelled to themself. It gave them an uneasy feeling as to what Rob meant. Was that a weird farewell or did he genuinely plan on seeing them again? As they tried to shrug it off, they turned to leave the house but couldn't even get one step in as they stared at the family that stared back at them; now it came to them! In the most unfortunate time they remembered the house they had only once ever been to; the Watterson's house.
"Dude," Gumball started. "What the heck are you doing in our house?"
"Uhhhh," Y/n mumbled, feeling themselves get warm in the cheeks out of embarrassment. "Stuff... in the air..."
