1- His hair

(Reki x Langa)

Reki was a bit late today but understandable, he told me he'd found a new show that he'd been dying to watch and was going to binge watch it all that night so I'm gonna assume he slept in-
"AH SORRY DUDE I TOTALLY SLEPT IN I PRACTICALLY RAN THE WHOLE WAY HERE!!!"
I was right of course, Reki didn't wake up to his alarms I guess that what he gets for staying up till whatever ungodly hour of the day to watch some series.
"It's fine Reki ur not that late just 10 minutes... okay that's kinda late but oh well ur here now, no?"
Reki dropped his board to the floor rubbing the back of his head giving a breathless laugh still panting from his run to our meeting spot. I picked up Reki's board and started walking.
"Huh? Why r we walking?"
Reki stared puzzled but started walking beside me like a lost puppy. Yes we were late but I didn't want an unfair advantage.
"You need to catch ur breath, or the race to school would be one sided duh"
I said as an uncontrolled smirk crept upon my face. In saying this I knew Reki would try put up the fight that he could race even if he was a bit tired or try convince me that he wasn't tired however he didn't say either. Instead he crossed his arms muttered the word fine and pouted. Even he knew he was tired but the reason he didn't put up a fight about it is because it was quite cold so he'd cool down quicker luckily. I laughed at his childish remark and went to hand him his board to hold as it was quite heavy holding the two.
"Here, and don't try get a head start"
Reki grabbed hold of the board rolling his eyes and mockingly laughing. He's done it before, race off without saying to me when we were going. I was so salty through out the day about it that I forced him to stay at my house that night to watch a movie that I know he didn't like instead of going to S as an apology. I looked at him a bit longer after he received the board I couldn't help but notice the little locks of unkept hair flocking out from his headband he had lazily put on. The wind wasn't so gentle today and was blowing wildly on Reki's fiery red hair carelessly messing it up even more. It was mesmerising to see the way it flicked across Rekis's face , as messy as it was I still had the urge to play with it. I always had, it just always looks so fluffy and when Reki adjusts it I always wonder what it feels like or how annoying it must be to Reki to keep it neat and today shows.
"Reki, hold on a sec..."
Reki turned to face me and I could clearly see how much of a state he was in. He definitely forgot to fix his hair this morning considering how late he was that he had to run all that way. It made me smile from how clueless he was in this mess.
"Yeah? What is it Langa?"
Reki said drawing my attention back to focus.
"Hang on let me help you real quick"
I placed my board to the floor stepping on it with one foot to keep it in place. I reached my hand to his headband pulling it to the left more. Since he had put it on in such a rush it had fallen to a side from it being so loose. I combed my fingers through his hair untangling the little knots that had formed from the wind whipping his hair out of shape. I brushed it to his usual style and side making sure to memorise how soft and light his hair felt. Honestly would have expected it to have had some sort of gel in it to keep it up but nope just pure magic i guess.
"L-Langa are u done yet..."
I forgot I was styling it and was just messing with it at this point I took my hand away and laughed a sorry. Reki pressed his lips together and his face was a shade of red but I couldn't tell if that was the cold finally kicking in for him so I paid no mind to it.
"Shoot!! Langa we are seriously gonna be late now!"
I hadn't realised the time but he was right we had 5minutes but 20minutes away. We both threw our boards down jumping on in following order and skated fast to not be too late. Even with the pressure of needing to get to school in such a short amount of time I couldn't shake from my head the feeling of Reki's hair and his annoyed blushing face its stupid I know but for some reason it made me smile by his small reactions.
