wow an update on this book that i wrote in middle school

hey y'all who read this book

so news: in case you haven't picked up on it (including the fact that i haven't updated in YEARS) i am not really active and updating these books anymore (sad).

this was a huge part of my middle school years, so i will be keeping it up! but i am a college student now and almost 20, and i just don't have passion for these particular stories anymore.

i never really had a plan on where i was taking the story in the first place, and just lost the passion of writing it when i got busy with high school. i'm sorry it left on such a cliff hanger, but i can leave that as "open-to-interpretation" :]

and even though i find this book cringy (yet hilarious, what was i ON in middle school?) i will keep it up for everyone to enjoy! maybe i'll re-write it with a better plot and an actual storyline at some point (now that PJO is gaining traction again, YAY TV SHOW!) maybe i'll just let it rest as a memory of my stupid youth.

now some more serious logical stuff

in the years since i've made this book, some unpleasant things have been revealed about the author of Harry Potter, JK Rowling, including the fact that she is a blatant transphobic and homophobe and racist. and even though this book isn't about harry potter, my account is very tied to the stories.

i would like to say that i in no way, shape, or form condone any of the harmful actions or words JK Rowling has said or done. trans rights are human rights, and trans women are real women. also lgbt people are cool (i'm actually part of the community (act surprised wow the girl obsessed with pjo and hp in middle school is not straight)) and i wish she wouldn't try and force false diversity in her books? her insistance on harming trans women under the guise of "feminist" is so sickening to me, and i do not acknowledge her contributions to harry potter anymore. and yes, i still love and partake in harry potter fan culture. there are many things in the books that don't sit 100% right with me, but the culture around the series is still dear to my heart. my advice for if you want to stay in the fandom but not embrase the terf lord, i would recommend
a) buying second hand
b) buying from trans and lgbt artists from the community
c) reading fanficion that could replace the books (i have a list if you guys want some)
d) just ignore her. don't engage. she wants that
e) don't watch the fantastic beasts movies they're cash grabs and not good
anyway, fuck JK Rowling (pardon my french)

second: PERCY JACKSON TV SHOW IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING WHAT?
so, yeah the pjo show is genuinely happening, and the casting just got announced for the golden trio
and if i see ANYONE being racist or mean to the children who are in this show because they don't look like what you have idealized in your mind as the characters, i will come for your eyes, ply out your brain, and smooth out any remaining wrinkle before dropping it into a river and watch it flow out to sea, kapish?

Rick Riordon himself has chosen this cast, and i trust him over anyone on this decision. i also care more that the characters are portrayed personality and action wise correctly (wow accurate ages and people who are like the characters are a good start) before any form of looks.

so, my Annabeth Chase is black, my Grover Underwood is south asian and my Percy Jackson is blonde for all i fucking care.

so what have YOU been up to for when you were gone? where are you now?

i'm at college. that's a thing. kind of wack, i know. it's like a whole thing that people do

and im still active in online fandom spaces, just not wattpad anymore. im on tumblr and ao3, but that's about all im gonna give you there :] (it's because i want you to work to find it/j) (literally just ask me if you want my tumblr or ao3, i just don't want to publicly display it lol)

any guesses on what fandom i'm in now? i'm not gonna confirm or deny anything i just want to see what people think.
