"I swear if I have to deal with those damned directors and their shitty business offers one more time I'm gonna lose it!" Karma thinks
The red head sighs as he pulled off his tie, threw off his coat, and messed up his hair. He plopped on the couch, his back hitting something hard.
Sitting up the genius shifted to the side of the black leather sofa, he reached behind him and wrapped his fingers around the cover of a textbook.
He brought it to his lap and started going through it idly
Post it notes, most being a dumb orange color(Karma winced at the obnoxious color, he never liked orange to begin with) are placed in various pages through out the book.
Youta's untidy handwriting scrawled on each one
Memorise by thursday for recitation
One of the notes says. The paper was crinkled a bit from having been pressed against the side of the couch.
Karma snickered when he found a couple of anime characters drawn on the pages at the very end of the book. He shakes his head as he thinks of his son and his personality that he inherited from both him and his husband
Plus his pride, determination, ego, and others.
The red head stretched before making his way to the kitchen, grabbing a coffee cup on the way.
RING! RING! RING!
the sound of his phone suddenly ringing caused him to flinch and spilled the coffee he was pouring on his cup all over his white dress shirt.
"Come on!" Karma raged before reaching into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
Sliding it to unlock he answered the call with an irritated "What?!"
"Karma" came his husband's voice. "Youta wasn't present for his morning classes today"
"What?" Karma frowns, panic already rising as he slid over to his computer to check all of the security footage from the school.
"Maybe he's skipping?" He suggested, knowing how Youta sometimes skips his first or second period.
"I considered that too but Youta wasn't seen anywhere else in the school all morning. Not even at the E-class mountain" he heard the growing worry in Gakushū's voice
"Did you check on his friends?"
"Mikoto and Riko said that they hadn't heard from him at all!"
He heard his husband clicking away on his computer, muttering things under his breath.
"Okay...calm down love" Karma says. "He's clever enough to hide from the cameras, maybe he's just fooling around" he tried to reassure his hus and and himself. "Besides, summer break is fast approaching, no issue missing a few classes right Shū?" He hopes that this would calm his husband down, and it worked. His husband released a deep breath
"Y-yes you're probably right. Maybe I'm just being a paranoid parent" he chuckled over the phone. "But when you do find Youta drag him to the school, force him to finish his classes and tell him to meet me after!" His his and reverted back to the strict parent he showed to outsiders. Karma chuckles "I will"
When Gakushū hung up however, Karma dropped his act and hurried to his office. He can feel his parental instincts fighting to the surface as he bursted the door open and took long strides towards his desk.
He reached under the desk and pressed a hidden button there. The giant tv screen pressed against the wall suddenly fill up with footage from Kunogigaoka.
Students and staff raced from one end of the crowded hallways to the next
His yellow eyes scanned the crowd sharply, eyes searching for that familiar mixed red and strawberry blonde hair(with hair like that it would be enough for Youta to be easily spotted because it always helped him stand out in the crowd). His disappointment and worry grew and grew with each unfamiliar face
"Where are you Youta?" He whispered.
He goes through the entire school. Looking through every nook and cranny. He even hacked into the hidden cameras his husband placed over Youta's favorite hang out spot(mainly in the E-class forest)
But nothing
Frustrated, the red head began pacing around the room, arms crossed and fingers clenched. His mind was in torment
The thought that his child is nowhere to be found and could possibly even be hurt and alone somewhere made him feel particularly homicidal.
Karma continues to walk back and forth, running his hands through his hair as he contemplated on what to do
Stopping for just a second, he reached for his computer, fingers flying over the keyboard as he hacked over every CCTV camera available downtown
He'll find his child, he will, even if he has to turn over every rock in the process
Soon, after a couple of taps of his shaking fingers he found what he was looking for.
It was at an alleyway just a few blocks away from their home, Youta was walking in a relaxed manner, bag swung over his shoulder and his earphones plugged in his ears, he was smiling.
Karma ignored the feeling of love the bloomed in his heart at the sight of his angel, and instead focused his attention on Youta's surrounding.
Then, he noticed a man hiding in a corner by some trash cans, a hood pulled over his head to hide his face.
He watched in horror and fury as the creepy man ran up to his child, raised his bat and then slammed the hard object on the back of Youta's skull. Karma released a scream of fury and fear as he watched his son fall dace first on the ground and then get carried off to a white van
