Chapter Twenty

Khaliah Pov,

I sat on the bed and sighed as Chris looked at me confused and scared. I laughed and rolled my eyes as I signalled for him to sit next to me.

"Why didn't you turn me in?"

"I love you duh. I will always love you. At first I was thinking about turning you in but I changed my mind. You're special"

"I'm special alright. Special weird right?"

"No, a good kind of special. Everyone makes mistakes you know"

"This wasn't a mistake. I did this on purpose. I wanted you dead. That was my mission"

He looked in the corner of the room and picked up the gun off the floor and Gave it to me.

"Then kill me. Complete your mission. I know you love me but if that's your mission. Complete it"

Aaliyah Pov,

I put my ear on the door and listened to Khaliah and Chris's conversation. It's fun to be nosey.

"Aaliyah What are you doing?" August said from behind me. I Jumped up and moved away from the door with my hands behind my back.

"Nothing"

"Lier, What's up?"

"Chris and Liah are having an argument"

He looked at the door and smiled at me then ran over and put his ear against the door with me.

Chris,

"Are you going to do it or Nah?"

She looked at the gun and sighed then threw it against the wall causing it to go off once and hit me in my arm.

I screamed and held my arm as she walked over to me.

"I'm not going to kill you Chris. I wouldn't do that. Ever. But You, Trey, and August need to go"

"What? Why? We already told you three how we felt why do we have to leave? You're Just going to throw all of this away like trash for no reason?"

"I didn't say for no reason there is a reason the reason is I don't love you and Aaliyah doesn't love August and Brianna doesn't love Trey we used you three for your money. There's no point in suger coating anything. We've been lying. Our goal was to play with your emotions like you did ours. And that's been done so Just leave now before this turns into something else"

"You're lying. You're Just saying that to drive us away"

"I'm dead serious."

I looked at her with my mouth open as the door opened and August came in holding Aaliyah's arm firmly.

"You played us? After we decided not to tell!?" I yelled on the verge of tears.

"Face it. This was Just our operation" She said looking at Aaliyah. Aaliyah sighed and looked at August.

"Operation kidnap the most popular musicians"

"or taken for ransom"

I grabbed August and stormed out the door with my fist balled up. Everything in me makes me want to fight her. But everything in me also makes me want to cry.

Operation Taken for ransom...
