Ara was eating a mouse that Daisyheart had given her, Icestar had forbade the queens from nursing her meaning she would have to eat prey, it was tough without teeth but Daisyheart would help her. Ara was glad that out of all the cats that hated her there were a few that did like her like Daisyheart and Junipereye.
Ara ran up to Junipereye in the medicine den "Junipereye! I want to become a medicine cat just like you!" Ara meowed, she was old enough to become an apprentice soon anyway and wanted to become a medicine cat "Well it'd be great to have some help around here, I'd be happy to have an apprentice" Junipereye purred "Absolutely not!" Icestar hissed, entering the den "You're still a young medicine cat and you're healthy so you shouldn't be dying soon, plus we don't need a rouge as a medicine cat" Icestar hissed "O-oh..." Ara meowed
Moons past and it was time for Ara to become an apprentice, and it was now her turn to become an apprentice "Ara will now be an apprentice and she will be mentored by Brooktail" Icestar meowed. Ara noticed that Icestar hadn't properly done the ceremony like she did for the other apprentices and her ears went down. Brooktail walked over to her "Hello Ara, I look forward to having you as my apprentice" Brooktail meowed "And I look forward to learning from you" Ara meowed, happy that her mentor was a cat that didn't hate her
