I woke up a few hours later to Mittens licking my cheek and it's later than I expected. I look out the window and the sun has already risen high above. My hair is super frizzy since I've forgotten to put on my night cap. I sit up, pet mittens, and check my phone.
Bruno: Good morning :)
Me: Rise and shine

It the first day of spring, and the weather is getting warmer- then it dawned on me that I have to run some errands to look for spring decorations for the bakery, and put the winter ones back in the storage.
I remember last spring, me Margaret and Oliver weren't even close to success as we are now. We've achieved a ton of things, and I couldn't be more grateful.

I make my bed and fluff my pillows. Now that my room is clean, I can walk across the floor without tripping over anything. My blue glitter notebook sits on my desk, and I open it and start writing.

March 20-
I know I haven't wrote in here in a couple of weeks, but I've been too busy falling in love. It feels calming, scary, and also exciting. But mostly scary. Growing up, I've never had a crush or a real boyfriend. Most guys were just immature and rude, but this guy is something else. Ever since my last break up 2 years ago with Jonathan, I just never wanted to love anyone else again. I put locks and shields over my heart because I felt like he was the only guy that was meant for me. He was the only guy who loved me for who I am.
Jonathan passed away to heart disease. He told me to promise him that for now on I'll do the scary things in life and pursue my career in being a baker. And oh did he love my pies.

After being in my room all morning and half of the afternoon, I finally got up and brushed my teeth, did my skincare, and get dressed.
I think about Jonathan and how he would be so proud of me. I think about Oliver and Jennifer and how I'm so proud of them for everything they've done.
I refill Mittens bowl and did the dishes while watching Shameless when my phone starts to go off. It's Bruno.

"Hello?"
"Hey," he says in a muffled tone. "What's up?"
"Oh, nothing. Just rolled out of bed like an hour ago, so I'm cleaning now."
"Yeah, I feel you. I'm still in bed," he says.
I can hear his heavy breathing through the phone.
"So I was wondering if we can hang out today..... and maybe learn some new recipes together?"

Score.

"Ummmm," I say, smiling uncontrollably.
"That is if you're free course."
"No, I am free."
I can hear Bruno moving around.
"Maybe you can come over, or I could come over? Which ever you prefer," I say.
"You can come over."

Another score.

"Alrighty, I'll text you the address and you can come over anytime this evening," he says.
"We'll except for 4 o'clock to 7. I have something to do, but send a text when you're here."
"Okay,cool."
"Cool. It's a date."
A long silence follows and I realize kitchen sink is still running and I turn it off.
Bruno laughs. And then I laugh with him.
"I'll.... See you later?" He says.
"Yeah, yeah."
"Bye.."
"Bye......"

As soon as I hang up, I turn cartwheels and jump all around the room. It feels like it's the best day of my life.
A pie date.
A. Pie. Date.
I immediately text Margaret and Oliver and tell them.

I follow the gps and pull into a huge, ( and expensive looking ) neighborhood. A lake sits on the outside, with waterfalls and gated areas.
"Wow," I say under my breath.
I look at the gps again and take another turn, and then another, and finally I'm parked in front of a big, long one story. The lights are on inside, and so is the porch light.
I turn the radio down, grab my phone and send him a text.
"I'm here."
