~ Your POV ~

After our conversation with Tails, the two of us left shortly afterwards. While walking, Amy explained that she wanted some time alone to herself so you each decided to parted ways for the day.

Now it was morning and you decided why not go and visit Tails today to spend time with him and help him around the workshop. So with that, you got ready and started on your trip to his place.

~ Amy POV ~ (Sorry for the quick switch)

'Finally morning!' I thought to myself with a smile. I decided to actually put the plan into action today. Obviously from watching Sonic all of the time I know his schedule pretty well so I know exactly what he's doing during each part of the day. Totally not creepy!! Luckily he so happens to take a walk every morning around this time. So I quickly got ready and then left my house in order to see him.

~Short Time Skip ~

After about two minutes of walking I loudly gasp as I notice the figure up ahead of the path to be Sonic walking in my direction. This is it! 'Ok here he is! Just play it cool Amy. Don't even look at him. Don't smile. Don't say good morning. Just keep your eyes straight ahead.' I think while reassuring myself. 'He'll start to miss you and then it will grow and grow and grow and then you'll GET MARRIED' I look up to see him getting even closer. 'Here he comes! You can do it!' each thought played through my head. It'll surely work this time! I mean what could go wrong??

Finally, I am only a little bit away from passing Sonic but with each step I started losing confidence until the point where I was already way ahead of Sonic's figure. 'HE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME!!! AAAAAAAAA' I start screaming internally at how he just treated me.

'I really need to go see Tails.'

~ Your POV ~

You had finally arrived at Tail's workshop. Walking up the brick sidewalk, you notice the garage door wide open. Entering, you spotted Tails working on some sort of machinery with blueprints placed all around the desk and on the wall which contained multiple images of crystals.

"Hey Tails!" you shouted from across the workshop. Tails quickly whipped his head around to see you slowly walking towards him.
"Oh hey (Y/n)!" he happily replied while turning his attention away from his project. "What brings you here this morning." he asked while raising one of his eyebrows. "I just came to stop by to check if you'd like some company for the day." I responded smiling in hopes that he'll accept. Tails turned placing his gloved finger onto his chin as if thinking over my offer. "You know, that would be great! I could always use your help around here (Y/n)." Tails finally answered while once again turning towards me. My expression instantly lit up to his response. "Really?" I question with a genuinely happy expression. Tails then walked up to you and grabbed both your hands into his. "Of course! I love having you around to help me." he stated while looking into my eyes. You then gain a slight blush on your face. Sure I had a crush on Tails but I've never truly heard how he felt about me. "Thank you! That means a lot." I respond in a sincere tone to which Tails returns a smile.

~ Time Skip ~

As I'm sweeping the floor trying to clean up any dirt or pieces of machinery, Tails started working on some sort of contraption, using a blowtorch in the process. Just then Amy barges into the workshop with an upset expression. I place down then broom and quickly run up to her. "Amy what's wrong??" She turns towards me and then looks at Tails.

"I did just what you said. I didn't say hello. I didn't say I love you. I didn't say anything and he didn't even look at me." Amy explained through a sense of panic while now crying, bringing her hands up to her face. Tails then turned around from his equipment, lifting up his work goggles.

"Oh boy Amy... I'm so sorry. I was sure that would work." he states while thinking to himself. Tails then looked back up. "But don't cry. There's more than one way to skin a cat!" he reassured. Big the cat, who is sitting in the corner then shows a fearful glance while looking up from his magazine. 'Since when did he get there?' You thought to yourself, not having noticed him earlier.

"I've got it!" Tails exclaimed while swiftly bringing one of his fingers into the air. "Negging." he suggests while now pointing down at Amy. "N-negging?" both you and her ask in unison. "What is that" Amy now asked. "We'll... it's sorta like a backhanded compliment. Like if I said-" Tails then looked towards the corner of the room, facing Big. "Nice massive yellow belt! It really distracts from your ridiculous huge ears." Tails said while pointing to the creature. You start to see a small evidence sad look on its face, making you feel bad for it due to Tails's rude behavior.

"I don't know Tails... it sounds sorta mean." Amy confesses while rubbing her arm nervously. "I agree with Amy. Though it might seem like a good idea to you, it's still quite rude and could hurt someone's feelings." I say to Tails while gesturing to Big, who was still sitting in the corner. The big cat then looked up towards me with a small smile on his face.

"That's the whole point! You've got to break him down so that he can see how much he needs you!" Tails try's to reason with the situation. "You've got to be cruel to be kind. Give him what he gives you." He points at Amy yet again. I look to her to see uncertainty written all across her face, frowning slightly. Tails also seemed to take notice of her current state. "Unless you're not serious about-"

"I AM! I am I am I am!!" Amy remarked with a look now showing that she's completely determined. "Negging. Be mean. Got it." she spoke seemingly trying to hype herself up for the task. "Ok thank you Tails. You are the best!" Amy said while turning away from me and the little fox, walking out of the workshop. "Of course! What are friends for?" Tails mentioned just like the previous time he had given her a plan. I quickly chased after her. "Bye Tails. Amy wait up!" I shout not looking back to give a proper goodbye. Tails stood in his workshop while waving the two of us goodbye with a smirk.

As we walk down the brick path, I can't help but notice how weird Tails was acting during that whole conversation. I mean, using Sonic in order to sorta guilt trip Amy into something she doesn't wanna do just seems so unlike him. I guess I'll just have to keep a closer eye on Tails from now on...
