Thank God, I survived another night in this terrifying house. Last night, I heard yelling, screaming, and glass shattering, that was an usual sound in my household. My family isn't a normal one, it is an insane one. Anywhere from murderers to drug dealers, but I am a normal person who doesn't fit in any of those categories. Well, I'm Garret P., I just woke up and summer is officially over. I just finished my junior year, I am finally a senior! I sniffed the morning air and smelled the yummy pancakes awaiting my presence, to be eaten of course. I tip-toed down the creaky stairs and, the plate of pancakes was right there. My dad, Mafolio, my mother, Bianca, and my 14 year old brother, Gabriel were already sitting at the dining table. As I sat down and took the first bite of my pancakes, my dad gave me the most cold-hearted look he has given me in awhile. I stared right back at him right dead middle in his eye and grunted. I suspect I haven't told you about my notorious dad, he is a drug dealer. Selling drugs from cocaine to ecstasy, he has been known for killing over 100 people in the drug industry. We had a silent breakfast that morning.

After the delicious pancakes, my brother and I got ready for school. As I ran down the stairs and ran out the door, a thought hit me like a wrecking ball, I FORGOT MY STAR WARS PEN! I got back in the house and whizzed past my mom, ran upstairs, and snatched the pen off my desk like it was never there. I then ran outside and caught up to my brother. It was a dangerous neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. A place with dogs barking, trashy houses, and police sirens now and then, it was not the best place to be. Five minutes of walking, then I finally arrive at Jeffrey High School. When I walk in, I hear cussing and see fighting around me. As I walk to room #3453, my biology class, I see an old lady with the thickest glasses lens and a girl hiding behind her thick hair, by the name of, Natalia, according to her desk tag. I take an empty seat right behind Natalia and stare at the faded writing on the whiteboard that said, "Ms. Winfield."

Since class just begun and no one was here except for Natalia and I, she let us skip class for today. As Natalia and I walked out, we parted. I began to run towards the exit door, until I saw the most beautiful girl in the world, I was stunned. I took a deep breath and with my bravery.

I asked, "Can I get your digits?"
