My hands were drenched in sweat, I tried wiping it on the sides of my jeans. I stood there like an absolute idiot waiting desperately for an answer. It felt like it was a decision between life and death, I was in the most awkward situation ever since I lost my swimming trunks in the girl's locker room.

She made a straightforward face and told me, "Umm, I'm not sure."

My heart shattered like a beer bottle at my cousin's party in Mexico. I walked away with shame, I was so embarrassed I tried hiding my face with my hoodie from anyone around me. I decided to skip the rest of school and go home. As soon as I got in my front door, I ran passed my dad, who was currently watching a football game, and got in my room. I faced depression and felt sort of mad at myself. As I began to surf the Internet, something that I usually do when I am feeling down, I see something that can help people like me let go of my stress. I never thought in the name of Albert Einstein, this was possible! It was something that I could do to the best of my ability, boxing.

I read for more important details, and turns out I could make fifty bucks from each match I win. I immediately signed up for the amateur training at Detroit BA, I had no idea what would come ahead of me. As I finished the application, I passed out, with my head slamming my laptop completely shut. After a two hour power nap I was ready to get to work. I would have to walk for fifteen minutes to get to the dang training field. By the time I got there, I thought I would be ripped like a body builder, I was wrong, sadly. I walked in and saw my personal trainer. He welcomed and greeted me with a simple hello.

I nervously said, "Hello, I am here for my first day."

He stared at my slender arms and said, "Well, alright..."

I started by paying a fee of a few hundred dollars, I thought I could blow off a few if I could earn more by winning matches.

He said, "I'm Louie, you?"

I replied in a shy and soft voice, "Garrett... Garrett P."

He shoved a pair of red, worn out gloves and told me to stretch and get ready. I started by stretching my arms, and at that moment when I raised my arms, I noticed a strong stench. I just realized I forgot to bring my stupid deodorant, or maybe I was stupid and forgetful. When Louie handed me my headgear, he noticed the stench and made an absurd face. Good thing he didn't embarrass me on my first day. He then walked into a locked room and came out with deodorant and tossed it to me.

Laughingly he said, "Put some of that on, man!"

In embarrassment, I started to take off my shirt and apply the deodorant. I then put on the worn out gear he handed to me. I walked toward the large boxing ring and hopped over the stretchy guarding. I cleared my throat and got in an odd punching stance.

He said, "Come on now, take a blow already!"

I took a deep breath and with all my upper body strength, I punched Louie's glove. I felt a shockwave go through my body from first to feet. I was stunned, everything got blacker and blacker by the second. Eventually, my eyes shut and I fell and slammed on the ring.
