she comes home to find you asleep

Seeing that it was so early in the day, when Kazuha arrived home she thought she'd hear you run down the stairs over the sound of the front door closing, indicating her arrival.

But all she heard after a few seconds passed by and she finished kicking off her shoes was silence.

"Babe, I'm home." She said as she looked around. "What are you up to?"

She started to walk up the steps of the staircase, yawning as she did so.

She's been fighting off the extreme exhaustion she's felt over the last few busy days.

It's started to catch up with her today so she was feeling pretty relieved that she got to come home to you early since she and the girls finished all they had to do quicker than expected.

She rubbed her eyes as she turned to walk down the hall and she did her very best to keep her heavy eyes wide open.

"Aren't you excited to see me?" She teased as she approached your shared bedroom. "Are you too interested in your show to come downstairs to me?"

When she entered the bedroom, she saw that you were laying on your side with your back facing her.

At first, she was a little concerned.

But as she took a couple of steps into the room, she heard the quiet and soft snores coming from you and it all clicked.

The reason you hadn't rushed downstairs to her the way you usually would or replied to anything she said was that you were sound asleep.

The realization made her heart swell and she couldn't hold back her smile as she padded across the floor and made her way to the bed.

She carefully and quietly pulled the blankets on her side of the bed back before crawling under them and curling up beside you.

She got as close as she could to you so she could wrap her arms around you and kiss your shoulder softly.

When her lips brushed against your shoulder you opened your eyes but you didn't worry about who was in bed with you and kissing you because you knew it was Kazuha.

You knew by her warm arms holding you and her sweet lips touching your skin ever so softly as she trailed sweet little kisses across your shoulder.

You could recognize her just by those simple but loving things.

"You're home early." You quietly said before turning over.

Your tired eyes met hers and you saw that she looked just as exhausted as you.

"Yeah. We got done with everything for the day faster than expected." She explained. "It's only the afternoon and I'm already home with my girl. How great is that?"

"So great." You said with a small smile. "You look sleepy. Take a nap with me. We both need one."

"Okay." She said as she put her cheek close to yours. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." You said as you closed your eyes again. "I'm happy you're home early. We should watch a movie when we wake up."

"I'd love that." She said as she held you a little tighter. "Go back to sleep, darling. Have sweet dreams. I'll be right here holding you the whole time."

She listened to your breathing as you fell back asleep and soon enough, that helped her fall asleep beside you.

She knew the rest of the day after you both woke up was going to be wonderful because you'll be spending every minute in each other's arms.

But, for now, some sleep will do you both some good.

And she just hoped that if she dreams at all while she sleeps, you'll be the one she dreams about.
