After I ate my food I decided to return to my wolf form, this way I could be ready to leave and also not take up so much room, I feel like a bull in a china shop.

Sleep doesnt come easy at first, but I guess I projected that because then Wisteria started to hum while moving about the cottage. I don't know what song it was but her voice was soothing and put me to sleep.

The rain had stopped by the time I woke up, it was still early enough that the sun wasn't up yet but the first light of the sky was turning the horizon shades of pink.

Wisteria was in her room sleeping soundly from what I could hear. So instead of waking her to let me out I shifted. I slipped outside closing the door quietly behind me, I shifted back grabbed my stuff and headed out.

Hours later I got to the place Wisteria showed me, after I asked if she could possibly narrow down the location for me. The house is large enough for a small army.

Lucky for me the security is lax, either they think I'm dead or that I'm no longer a threat. A mistake that will serve me well.

Making my way around to the back I came upon a woman sitting in the backyard. I sink my way over getting ready to pounce, when a sudden gust of wind smacks me in the face.

I feel like I've been stabbed, the scent that was carried to me can't be. I must have made a noise cause she turns to look at me and I whine.

The woman looking at me while holding her rounded pregnant belly is my twin sister, the one who we thought had died.

Oh God I cannot kill my twin! Why? Why would fate do this to me? In my despair I start to back away till she yells to me.

"No please don't go, help me! Please help me!" She sobs.

I stop walking and sit, "wait is that you... Grey?" Josie only waits till I nod and then she runs to me hugging me tightly. "Thankyou Goddess for sending my twin, to save me!"

I find I'm crying along with her, I've missed my sister so much. I lick her face and motion for her to get on my back.

She climbs on me carefully taking my bag that I had dropped and I get us the fuck out of there. At first I was at a loss where to take her then thought of Wisteria and the Goddess' message.

It took me hours to get to where my sister was but I just the thought of Wisteria and her cottage came into view.

"Is this place safe Grey?" Josie sounds scared but I nod my head and walk up to the door.

The door opens spilling buttery light out, "the Goddess said you would be heading this way, come on in." Stepping back Wisteria let us in. "My name is Wisteria Lee what's yours?" She asks Josie as she helps her off my back.

"I'm Josie, Grey is my older twin brother, how do you know him? What did you mean about the Goddess?" She asks as she sits in the chair I occupied yesterday.

"I'm his second chance mate, and I'm a witch who is also part wolf but I dont shift. Grey you can shift in my room." She says dismissing me. So I do as she says and go change.

When I come back Josie is drinking a cup of hot chocolate and Wisteria is pulling pizza out of the oven.

"So you knew you were my second chance mate?" I cant help asking.

"Yes I bumped your hand and felt the sparks, but I asked the Goddess to explain your past. I understand that we can never be more than friends. I will guard and protect your sister and her young with my life, you have my word and solemn oath they will be protected." She says and as I look in her eyes I know she speaks the truth.

"What has happened to our family? That bastard would gloat that they were gone but not how, please tell me?" Josie asks and I sit next to her catching her up on everything important that she missed.

It's late by the time I've finished and we all have shed tears together. Wisteria leads Josie to her room and helps her settle in to sleep. So much has happened for her, so much has changed.

"Will you be staying with us for a while?" Wisteria asks when she returns.

"For now if you dont mind, would that be ok with you?" I ask.

She nods then turns to make tea, "I wish I could heal your heart, that I could help you more than just this but I know that I'm only ment to help keep them safe.
Your sister is pregnant with twins, the Goddess told me how she was forced to repeatedly conceive that monsters young. Only for him to kill them for being girls.
So to save your sister the Goddess had, sent your sister's mate to impregnate her. But he couldn't stay to protect them because he is fighting off your uncle.
She told me that in four days Josie's mate will need your help to kill your uncle, you will have your revenge but at a price." She says not looking at me.

"That's fine it's what I always knew would happen, but my uncle thinks Josie's children are his? How?" I ask not really wanting the answer.

"He had raped her before going after your family, so he thinks that they are his. You know just telling him that maybe enough of a blow," she says looking at me.

I can see the hope in her eyes that I will reconsider my decision but I won't, Mal's waiting in the eternal forest for me, I've kept her waiting long enough.
