The next few days I didn't see Matias at all and I tried to build up the courage to knock at his door, but I just couldn't do it. I asked Hina if she could help me but she had dance practice today. I was desperate for something to do because it was a Saturday and nobody wanted to practice with me so I had to knock on Matias' door. I put some decent looking clothes on and I walked out my front door. The, I saw Matias walking his cat. I saw him and waved and he waved back. I ran towards him and asked why he hasn't been at school and he 'just needed a break.' I couldn't understand this dude.
"So what did you need a break from?," I asked.
"I don't know I just needed a break from school," He responded.
He looked less happy than usual. I was kind of confused to what was going on because he also did not live with his parents, but I did not know why. My parents are still in America and have enough money to get me a house in the Tokyo region in Japan. I wanted to ask him why his parents weren't living with him but it can be a touchy subject for some people. I squatted down to look at his cat. "Is this a Russian blue?," I asked.
"Yes, of corse it is. She's cute isn't she?"
"Yeah," I said, still concerned about him missing school.
I stood up and said, "will you come to school on Monday?"
He looked at me, "I'm not sure yet"
"But you can't just keep skipping classes like this you're grades will be horrible!"
"My grades are already bad enough," he said with a sigh.
"I can tutor you if you want" When I said this I did not know that he would agree to this because I am a terrible teacher, I could barley teach someone how to say "hello" in English!

The next day Matias came into my house and I tried to teach him what we where learning in advanced maths, but he was totally lost. He told me that the was in the basic math, but the problem was that I had not a clue of what they where learning and I couldn't ask him because he didn't know what he was supposed to learn. So, I started form the basics. I had some math books laying around from when I was in middle school doing advanced maths. I opened up one of the books and he looked a little less confused than before. I guess that was a start. He kept admiring my handwriting but to me it looked nothing short of chicken scratch. When we finished I was exhausted. He had conveniently 'lost his keys' so he did not have to get his homework.
"Damn, I'm hungry"
"Then make something," I said with an annoyed tone.
"Ok, do you want me to make you some?," He asked.
"Sure?," I said in a confused tone. I was confused as to why he would have the ability to cook because of his lack in academics. And its not just math either. It's everything. I didn't really have anything in my pantry that could be used for a god tasting dish. But, before I knew it, I smelled something delicious.
"Alexis, where are your baking pans?," Matias yelled from the kitchen.
"In the long drawer to the right of the stove"

30 minutes later

"Get over here idiot"
"Why do you have to be so mean?"
"Because I can," He said stopping after each word.
