their lips connected and kalarnie felt a few sparks, she wasn't going to lie about that.

the motion went on for a little and she pulled away, siting back where she was. "that was... wow."

"i really liked that." tommy admitted. he didn't sound big headed, or egotistical in any way. he sounded sincere, genuine. "can i kiss you again?"

she turned to him and nodded, feeling tommy softly grasp her face. the two attached lips once more and kalarnie soon pulled away.

the two stayed silent. the silence was a little awkward at first but they soon overcame it when tommy nudged his pinkie at hers. "so..." kalarnie heard tommy mutter.

"hmm?" she hummed. he looked at her. "what's up?"

"what happens now?" tommy asked. kalarnie hadn't even thought that far ahead.

she stayed sat there, silent. heartstopper filled the silent essence of the room. kalarnie paused the show as she set her plate of mcdonald's on the coffee table.

"i think we make it facebook official." she joked. "there's nothing more serious than that!"

this caused a laugh from tommy. "oh of course. mum would be so proud."

kalarnie sat on the bed beside tommy as he slid on the headset. she was told by him to try and stay as quiet as possible. she nodded, already missing the touch of him.

the can of diet coke sat silent on his desk as he introduced himself to his chat. kalarnie kept herself busy with his switch; mario kart sound effects filling her earbuds.

sooner than later, tommy was shaking her. "just a second, i'm about to win this race!" kalarnie grinned.

"alright. i'll be downstairs." he smiled as he left the door open three inches.

kalarnie watched her crush leave as she came first. she powered off the console as she walked out, quietly shutting his door on the way.

walking down, tommy was scrolling through tiktok. the sound of kalarnie's vans disrupted him.

"'d you win?" "oh of course!" she grinned, steadying herself as she bounced slightly on the couch.

sarah walked in to the lounge room and the two looked up at her. "kalarnie, do you want to stay over for dinner? i can call your dad?"

the two teenagers grinned. "that would be absolutely lovely, mrs simons."

"love, you don't need to be so formal here. sarah is just fine."

"yeah kalarnie. sarah is fine." "thomas?" "sorry mum."

kalarnie snickered after tommy was told off. "now that was funny." tommy snickered at the response.
