17. The Scandal

The next day Jungkook woke up with a headache .

' Fuck ' Jungkook said while holding his head . Jungkook looked at bedside and saw a painkiller with a note .

' Take the medicine . If you want to eat breakfast it's in the fridge . I had some work that's why I had to leave early .

- Taehyung '

Jungkook took the medicine and decided to take a cold shower . After shower he went to the kitchen . He was so hungry that he didn't even heated the food & ate it like that only .

He is kind of relieved that Taehyung had some work because Jungkook couldn't have talked to Taehyung after what happened yesterday .

But he was somewhat happy about knowing that Taehyung still loves him . He just has to gain his trust . He has to make Taehyung believe that he won't ever leave him for anything , be it his career too . This time he would prioritise love over career .

Jungkook checked his phone when he reached his home . He was shocked to see some articles from dispatch about him . The photo that was in article had both Taehyung and Jungkook's faces . The article said ' Jungkook's anonymous lover ' . Jungkook wouldn't have given a fuck about this article if it was about him but it has Taehyung's face too and he knows Taehyung must be feeling weird with all this happening .

Taehyung was fuming in anger . He saw the article and he didn't like it even a bit .
People who knew him , who saw the article were calling him and asking if he is really Jungkook's boyfriend & if he is then can he help them meet Jungkook as they are his big fans . He told Rose to not pick a single call that is not related to their work for a week.

After sometime in the Evening Rose came in the office .

' Tae you gotta look at this ' Rose showed her phone towards Taehyung .

' what is it ? '

' Jungkook talked about the article ' Rose said .

Taehyung took the phone from Rose's hand and looked at the video .

' The article that was published today is not what it looks like . You see I was at a party yesterday night & i drank so much. Then this man saw me stumbling and helped me by letting me stay at his place as i couldn't even tell my address in that state . I was so drunk that i didn't even ask that man's name. When i woke up the next day , he wasn't at home . So i guess I will thank him from this video . The man who helped me , if you are seeing this , thank you so much for helping me. And i am sorry if I caused you any trouble . That's all I wanted to say. Bye ! ' Jungkook Said in the video.

Looks like he posted on his Twitter as it was a self made video from his home .

After seeing this video Taehyung had mixed Feelings . He felt relieved that Jungkook cleared out everything but he was also feeling that what if Jungkook was embarassed to be called his lover . After all he is no one . No one even knows his name . What if Jungkook posted this just to not be embarassed that Kim Taehyung was called as his lover .

He thought that it must be second reason because he thought Jungkook must have prioritised his career like he did back then . And just thinking about it made him more angry .

Jungkook called on Taehyung's phone many times but Rose didn't picked his calls as Taehyung ordered her not to pick any calls that are not related to work for one week . He was preparing for his ' Memories ' exhibition .

Jungkook thought that Taehyung might be upset about the article that's why he is not answering his calls. Jungkook wanted to go and apologize to Taehyung but he couldn't cause media was following his every step & he didn't wanted to risk Taehyung getting in these articles again .

After a week when Taehyung was done with the preparations of his exhibition , he checked his phone and saw some calls from relatives & Jungkook . Jungkook called him everyday . He didn't expect Jungkook to call him these many times . Rose didn't say a word about it cause he knew Taehyung was angry because of Jungkook . But after seeing these missed calls he felt a little guilty about thinking that Jungkook posted that video for his career .

Just when he thought of calling Jungkook , he heard the door of his office being opened & saw Jungkook rushing in .

' Taehyung where were you ? I called you so many times . listen i am sorry for that article but please don't ignore me ! I even cleared everything out with the media ! Please i can't let you out of my life this time . Please Taehyung I am sorry . I promise it won't happen again . I promise ' Jungkook said while hugging Taehyung .

Taehyung was this close to hug Jungkook back but he got reminded of why he was angry at this man in front of him . He also thought if Jungkook wanted he would have came soon , not waited for a week to come here & sort this out.

' Jungkook stop it alright ! You cleared everything out for your sake not for me ! Your priority is your career ! Of course you posted that video because you didn't wanted to be related to me , Kim Taehyung , who is no one . Nobody knows me . Just say You are embarassed of me ' Taehyung let out his anger .

' what ? No ! Taehyung you are misunderstanding me ' Jungkook said .

' oh is that so ?! Then why are you sorting this out after one week ! Huh ?! ' Taehyung said .

' it's because i am being followed . If i would have came here to meet you the media would have thought i lied in that video and would publish more articles about us . I am used to to this but you are not . I didn't want to put you in more trouble . I know you hate all this . I called you everyday so I can sort this out but you didn't answered my calls . You don't know how much i have been waiting for this one week to get over just because i can see you , hear you and sort this out . If this article didn't had you in it i would have ignored it just like i ignore other articles about me but this time it had you ! I did it for you Taehyung not for my career & I would never be embarassed of you . Never ' Jungkook said while holding back his tears .

He was hurt that Taehyung assumed him as a selfish prick who only thinks about himself . But he knew where Taehyung came from . After what happened years ago between them is still the Barrier for them .

' I - I am sorry ' Taehyung started. ' I am really sorry Jungkook . I am sorry I assumed all this . I am sorry for not answering your calls . I am sorry for hurting you . ' Taehyung apologised .

' It's alright ' Jungkook said with a little voice .

' No No it's not alright let me make it up to you ! Would you like to come to my exhibition ? ' Taehyung asked .

' Taehyung i would love to but if the media sees us - '

' It's alright we'll just say i contacted you after I saw that video and we became friends ' Taehyung said .

' Are you sure ? The media can be a pain in the ass sometimes ' Jungkook reassured.

' I am 100% sure . I would just ignore them '

' ok then I'll be there ' Jungkook said with a smile .
