Chapter 15: Realizing the situation

Sujal and Naina were siting in the front seat with Sujal driving. Naveen still had some work left in the police station, so he stayed back. Anurag and Sonakshi were sitting behind, Sonakshi was caressing Anurag's hair while trying to control her tears, she had never imagined to see Anurag inside jail because of some baseless accusations. Naina looked at Sujal multiple times but failed to say whatever she had in mind to him. He noticed and slowly held her hand, he slowed down the car and looked at Naina, both Anurag and Sonakshi also started to look at their parents.

Sujal: Naina, kya baat hai? Bolo na..

Naina: Sujal woh..woh Anurag aur Kamini ki shaadi ki baat ki thi maine Piyush ji se..

Sujal: Baat ho gayi?

Sujal sounded a little sad. Naina knew Sujal, she knew that he might be getting tensed thinking about Anurag and Kamini.

Naina: Ha Sujal..humare marriage anniversary par hi ho gayi thi baat..

Sujal: Hum iss ke baare me baad me ghar jaake baat kare Naina? Abhi toh hum ghar chalte hai bas..

Naina, Anurag and Sonakshi didn't touch this topic again and they all reached home. After reaching home, Sujal kissed Anurag's and Sonakshi's forehead and sent them to sleep. Naina's parents were asleep as it was very late in night. Sujal and Naina went to their bedroom and changed. Naina was somewhere scared to ask Sujal about Kamini. She had her doubts that maybe Sujal will not allow Anurag and Kamini to form a relationship.

Sujal: Naina..mai jaanta hu ki tum mujhse Kamini ke baare me baat karna chahti ho..

Naina: Sujal, jab tak tum comfortable nahi, mai uss topic ke baare me baat nahi karungi..pakka..

Sujal: Nahi Naina..yeh baat toh karni hi hai..

Naina: I know Sujal..this must be very difficult for you..but..

Sujal looked up at Naina. He knew that 'but' of hers had a heavy responsibility tied to it.

Naina: Sujal, do zindagiyo ki baat hai yeh..Kamini aur Anu..

Sujal: Jaanta hu..isiliye koi bui galat step nahi lena chahta jis se Anu ki zindagi aur Kamini ki zindagi, dono barbad ho jaye..but Naina, how can I trust that women?! Naina, Kashish ne mere sath jo sab kiya hai, woh mai bhool nahi sakta aur phir akhir kar Kamini hai toh Kashish ki hi beti! Mai kaise jaan lu ki woh Kashish jaisi nahi hai?!

Naina: Sujal, mai yeh nahi keh rahi ki woh bilkul bhi Kashish jaisi nahi hogi but ha, woh apne papa ki tarah bhi toh ho sakti hai na? Ek baccha aapne ma aur baap ki parchai hote hai, sirf ma ya sirf baap ki parchai nahi!

Sujal: You are right Naina..let's sleep now..kal baat karte hai iss ke baare me, I'll need some time to think about it all..

Naina: Good night jaan..

She placed a soft kiss on his cheek and turned off the lights. Naina knew Sujal was going to have a sleepless night tonight..unfortunately, she could do nothing about it.

Piyush and his family had returned home and were sitting in the living room. Piyush came to the living room after sending both the children to sleep. He was in a very bad mood and he came and held Kashish tightly on the wrist and made her stand up.

Piyush: Kashish, pehele Sujal aur aab bechara Anurag?! Tumhe unnse dikkat kya hai?! Kuch gehri dushmani hai kya?!

Kashish: Dekhiye Piyush, maine kuch bhi jaan booch kar nahi kiya!

Piyush: Please Kashish! Sujal ke time pe bhi tumne yahi kaha tha! Aur uss time ki tarah bhi, mom, aap bhi mili hui hai na iss plan me Kashish ke?

Vasundhara just looked at Piyush with a blank face. Lalit looked at Vasundhara and sighed in disgust.
