I'm Fine, Promise

(Just a quick note from me. This might be cringe for you and me both, cause I had the perfect mindset but then I had to go to my science club meeting and it took about 3 whole hours today so my head hurts and I'm not thinking straight but like idc)

A few weeks had passed and everything was back to 'normal' in the Todoroki apartment. Momo hated feeling useless, blaming herself for being so blind and naive for not getting out of this relationship sooner. Maybe if she had just stayed away from Bakugo, maybe he would still be alive today, maybe she could've avoided all this now if she didn't go to the party. A lot of *Maybes* but there's nothing she can do now, she too late but just maybe she can save her son from a cruel world, from a cruel fate.

It was noon and Momo was in the master bedroom, sitting on the bed staring in the distance. She knew Katsuki must be starving. She got up and walked out of the room to go check on her son, "Katsuki" she called out in a warm sing-song tone. She waited for a few seconds before calling his name again but this time she went to his room, "Katsuki. Sweetheart it's lunch time, you-" hearing giggles she opened his room door just to froze the sight before her eyes making her tremble. "Katsuki baby come to mommy" she held out her arms urging her son to stand by her side. Trying her best to hid the hint of panic in her voice.

Katsuki got up leaving his toys on the floor and hugged her. Momo hugged him back tightly and kissed the top of his head to make sure he was safe and felt safe too. The young boy was confused to why his mommy always always acted weird when ever his papa played with him. "Hey buddy why don't you go watch some TV while I talk to your mom" Dabi said getting up from his spot on the floor, "okay" the little boy said leaving the hug and going to the living room, leaving Dabi and Momo alone.

"Please I don't want to fight, I just want to go and feed my son" Momo said a little scared but tried to look confident in front of him. "HIS OUR SON!" Dabi yelled at her, making her shiver. "Look I just wanted some time with him before I leave for a work trip, don't get all protective over my child!" he sighed frustratingly before sitting down on the bed, "don't get any ideas about trying to run away with him, got that!" Momo could only nod as she was to scared to say anything that might make him hit her or something. Dabi got up and walked to her, stroking her cheek "that's my girl" he said in a creepy whisper which in turn send more shivers down her spine.

"Mommy I'm hungry" Katsuki said to his mother standing at the kitchen counter, "take a seat and I'll give you some lunch, how does that sound?" this made the boy beam up and quickly sat at the table waiting for his lunch. "Here you go my little man" Momo kissed his forehead as she put down his favorite sandwich, peanut butter and melted cheese, with some milk on the side. He thanked her and ate his lunch happily.

Dabi, who went upstairs to pack, came down with his suitcase in one hand and his passport in the other, "alright, I got everything I need. Momo I'll leave within the next two minutes so before I go, I just want to make sure you know the rules"  he stood at the door looking at her, "don't open the door to uninvited guests. Don't leave the house without my tracer. Always make sure to keep the house clean. Keep the fridge clean and full of fresh food. Stay at home and look after our son" Momo said quietly for only him to hear. Dabi nodded and smiled before going to his cab waiting for him outside.

She watch through the window as the cab drove away. Smiling a little she sat next to her son and took a sip of her water, "Katsuki how would you like to go get some food for tonight huh?" he looked at her with a big smile "really?!" she could only nod hugging her son "I love you so much my little prince and I'm so sorry for leaving you in the closet"  "it's okay mommy, I love you too plus the closet isn't that bad." he hugged her back.

After Katsuki ate his lunch he went to go get changed while his mother washed the dishes. She of course already took out his outfit along with hers but Katsuki refused to let her dress him, saying things like his a big boy now and he wants to do it himself. Momo found it really adorable. After the both of them got done, she too her phone, wallet, car keys, house keys and just threw it in her handbag. Momo made sure everything was locked and off before taking her son's hand and walking to her car.

Momo and Katsuki was in the grocery store, for groceries and maybe some sneaks. They where in the dessert section of the store, "do you want waffles or ice cream?" she asked him "both!" he excitingly said, Momo just giggled at her son's cuteness as she put both in the cart "what's the magic word?"  "THANK YOU!"

Momo continued their shopping, happy to see her son smile, "Momo...?" she felt a hand on her shoulder. When she turned around she was surprised to say the least "Iida, hi...what are you doing here?" she questioned the number 4 hero. He smiled softly "I was on a patrol and decided to get me something to drink"  "oh yeah that's right you work here in Hosu. Wow how long has it been since we last saw each other" she smiled at her  classmate now prohero. Katsuki standing next to her, poked her arm a little "mommy" he whispered " Oh Iida this is my son. Don't you worry okay, this is mommy's friend" Tenya got down to Suki's hight "hello there my name is Iida, what's your name little guy?" he asked "Katsuki Todoroki" Kat whispered. Iida was a little surprised by the name but just took it as Momo trying to honor Katsuki Bakugo's memories by naming her son that.

Iida send a little time with the mother and son duo, helping them with their shopping and catching up with Momo. He took them home just to make sure they stayed safe, "well I must be off now, my shift starts soon. Maybe we can get a coffee or perhaps lunch together to catch up more soon" Iida said as he missed her so much. "I'd like that, thanks for bringing us home Iida"  "no worries, here's my number for anything you need, no matter what it may be (xxx-xxx-xxxx)"   "Thank you again, Katsuki what do we say to the nice man?" she asked the boy "thank you for the sneaks and for bringing us home safely Mr. Hero" the boy smiled tiredly as he was held in his mother's arms.

They said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. That night Momo couldn't sleep cause she was so excited yet so scared to finally have another good thing in her life other than her son of course.
