As I sat back down, I exhaled, hearing Susie's obnoxious laughter behind me. Even though she was laughing at me, it made me feel comfortable. It was scary, yes, but I love scary things. I remember watching scary movies, and feeling comforted by it. My dad always thought it was weird. I miss my dad. He's been in the hospital for some unknown sickness for a while now. I'll probably visit him after school if nothing comes up.
I turned my head to look back at Susie. There she was, whispering whatever she was thinking about to Kris. Then, she spotted me. She glared at me in a 'what the hell are you looking at?' Way and I immediately looked back at the teacher. That glare. The intention was to be scary, but it was kind of.... Hot. Oh Christmas what am I thinking about?! My face felt hot as I thought about it, trying to think of school to drown the wave of Susie in her mind.
"O-okay c-class today w-we are doing another p-project." I could hear Susie's deep growl along with some other sighs behind me. I felt Berdly stare at me like we are going to be choosing partners and he wanted to be mine, but I'm done with his crap. Anyone but Berdly will be fine. "I-In this p-project we w-will b-be making a c-car that w-will participate in a r-race. It c-can only be up t-to 1 foot t-tall and 2 f-feet wide."
Immediately after miss Alphys said that, Susie shot her hand up. "AY, reptile nerd can we pick our partners?" I felt myself chuckle a bit, immediately covering my mouth to not look disrespectful. "U-uhm s-Susie I will b-be picking p-partners for you." I heard her growl again. I drowned out the sounds of her picking everyone's partners before it came to mine "a-and Noelle. You w-will be p-partners with S-Susie."
The bell rung. "o-oh! T-thats the b-bell. I-I'll see you a-all to-tomorrow and d-don't forget, the p-project is due b-by the e-end of the we-week!" Everyone practically ran out the door as soon as the bell rung, not even listening to Mrs. Alphys. I felt bad for her, she get's taken advantage of a lot. The only people left in the room were three people. Kris, Susie, and I.
I felt my stomach tangle into a knot as I walked over to Susie's desk. "Uhm S-Susie?" "What do you want, nerd?" Her deep voice set chills running down my spine. "We are uhm.... did y-you hear the teacher? We are partners!" "uhhh..... ok" she glared at Kris, like it was they're fault for some reason as they gave her that regular indifferent look. I stood there awkwardly for a while, my eyes immediately fixating on her. Jingles, I'm doing it again, but I can't stop. Why do I have to be like this? Why can't I just be normal and straight like everyone else?
Luckily she didn't notice me starring. "s-so uhm.. di-did you want t-to come over m-my house.. fo-for the p-project I m-mean-!" I broke the silence. Susie found her eyes back at me, making me blush even more (if that was even possible.) "Tsk. Fine, but don't expect me to do anything." She replied in a harsh tone. I just smiled and nodded, walking over to my desk. I quickly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, jotting my address down and my number. The thought of giving Susie my number was amazing to me.. though it would just be for a project. I then walked back over to Susie's desk, placing the paper on the corner of her desk.
"H-heres my number as w-well.. j-just for the p-project! W-when you are f-free you can text me-" Kris looked over at Susie, giving her a smirk for some reason. I think they knew I liked Susie already. Is it really that obvious? If Kris knows, does Susie..?
