The original hybrid had just woken up, sunlight shining on his skin, after two days of being free of his curse.

Until he was suddenly struck with extreme pain in his mind that knocked him unconscious.

Now, making no sudden movements as he sits up, he feels as if he were dropped from the ceiling. Looking around, he finds himself in a pitch black room.

He was having such a good day, too.

Right as he was making his way back to his own two feet, Klaus heard what sounded like grunts of pain alongside yelps of terror due to the ever-present blackness that engulfed the room that he, and consequently the others he could hear, were all now trapped in. Klaus was about to make himself known by yelling out to whoever decided they could kidnap the original hybrid when the lights finally came on in the now-visible, large, theater-like room.

When he looked around at all of the occupants, he was more than displeased. The first unfortunate face he saw was none other than the doppelgänger.

She was supposed to be dead.

He could barely hold in a groan of disgust when he realized that with the seemingly breathing doppelgänger came her ragtag group of friends/lovers. A group that a certain someone in his life had dubbed "The Scooby Doo Gang." However, what made him freeze in his place was something he wasn't expecting at all.

Across the room were the rest of the Original family. All undaggered. All awake. Klaus took this all in as quickly as he could without completely losing his mind. Luck was not on his side this time, and from one second to the next, Niklaus Mikaelson had three of his siblings either holding him against a wall, threatening him with death, or, in Finn's case, just staring at him blankly, not saying a word.

"So, what year is it now, brother?" Kol Mikaelson, the one dubbed as the "psychotic" Original, was the first to speak in the room full of supernaturals. He was also the one currently holding Klaus against the wall.

Before Klaus could respond, his only sister spoke up first, "Yes, I believe all of us would like to know that piece of information, Nik," she snarled at her older brother.

As Klaus was going to answer, he was once again interrupted. However, this time it was his older brother, Elijah, who was trying to play peacemaker between his siblings. "Rebekah, Kol, Finn." He addressed each sibling individually before continuing, "I believe all questions will be answered once we figure out what we are all doing here." As he finished his statement, he turned and gestured to everyone else in the room who had remained quiet until now.

"This isn't over," Kol growled out before roughly letting go of his older brother and taking several steps away as if to try and cool his temper.

Klaus, now that his family was placated for the time being, looked around the room once more. Upon his inspection, he saw someone whom he had tried to keep hidden from the Mystic Falls residents for as long as possible.

Leaning against a far wall, analyzing everything within the room and its occupants was none other than Åse Mikaelson.

Klaus's wife.

The two of them had now made eye contact, and almost instantaneously, Klaus walked away from his family and to where his wife was standing. He made the move to hug her since he hadn't directly seen his wife in what felt like an eternity. This plan ended up falling through, though, because she reached out via mind link and spoke to him instead.

"As much as I would love to hug you, Nik, it would raise unwanted suspicion. It would probably be best if we look like good friends until we figure out what the hell is going on around here.
