Spend the night

When Jane closed the door behind her, she walk up to Mary who was looking at the window. Staring at the sky getting a bit darker with the neighbor hood street lights started lighting up. She sat on the edge of the bed next to her to look at the view with her. "This year is gonna be very interesting.." Mary spoken quietly. As she looked down at the ground trying to put on a good mood. "Pretty much. A great way to end the year of high school for me." Jane said scoffing " I wonder where Jeff's brother is at, he should be all fixed up after that. 3 years is a long time." Jane added.
"Have you searched it up?" Mary replied.
"Not yet... I don't really like getting into their situation. I mean I do care, it's just kinda traumatizing talking and thinking about Jeffery. Plus the neighborhood isn't really that far from here..I don't bothered myself to check what's over there. All I know, my dad said it smells like shit." She humorously. She tried scooting over to Mary a tiny bit to touch her shoulder with her's. Mary noticed the feeling had hit her again, the sensation of butterfly's fluttering in her stomach, arms get chills. She thought to herself, what is going on with her mind again. It's just all in her head after all, she looked at Jane and looked down to see her hands are close to her. Then she look back up, staring at Jane while she's star gazing. A few stars were high in the sky, nothing really special just see 10.. 15 stars in the night sky. The both girls looked at the scenery just for a few minutes waiting for someone to break the awkward silence. Until Jane got tired of waiting and spoke something.
"Hey, I've been thinking about that time when we were in the restroom. You sure you liked it?" She asked worrying much. Mary looked with goosebumps spread throughout her arms.
"I liked it. I've never had anything like that in my life." She slightly answered. "Good." Jane replied as she put Mary's side bangs behind her ear and gave a peck on her left cheek. Mary stared with fog in her mind, she didn't know how to react. She looked as if she were a lifeless human being. Giving a neutral stare.
She placed her fingers over her cheeks where Jane had placed a kiss."I think we should go to bed. It's passed 11" She assisted. Without giving a reaction as she stared at the small clock on the wall. "Oh uh ok then." Jane paused with confusion and stared at the same clock Mary's staring at. "I'll take the floor, you'll take the bed" Jane said getting off.
"No, it's fine. You can sleep on the bed, uh with me." Mary said scooting towards the pillows to stretch her legs on the bed. "You really don't have to, I just think you be comfortable with yourself alone, I mean I do kick in my sleep and move around-.." "it's fine, I honestly don't care at all,I've never experienced sleeping with someone.. well besides my parents when I was little. But still, I assist." She said pulling over the covers for Jane to lay under." Jane walked up and around the bed to the opposite side.
"Fine, don't complain like Jessie though. Haha." Jane said agreeing as she went under the covers and looked at Mary's back.
"Never knew you need a nightlight." Mary mentioned as she stared at the small light with an owl on it. "No no.. it's just there. I don't rlly bother to take it off cause it looks pretty cool with the light on." She replied. "Sure.." Mary smiled. During the pass 5 minutes things gotten quiet, the sky was pitch black with dozens of stars filled the sky. Jane was snored quietly behind Mary, she was still up. Couldn't bare to sleep while Jane is snoring. She tried closings her eyes but couldn't stand it. She turned around to face Jane. She scooted over to get comfy and closes Jane's open jaw. "Glad she isn't a drooler.." Mary thought to herself.
As she looked down at Jane's lips and up to her eyes. She got closer, gave a small kiss on her forehead instead. And turned back around to face the window. Things gotten much more quiet. As she finally dozed off to sleep, Jane's arm grabbed Mary as if she was a teddy bear.
Bringing her closer to get more warmth. Mary didn't mind, and continued in sleeping.
Next day, Jane had woken up to a empty side of the bed where she is facing. It seemed that Mary had left the bed with her glasses still by the night stand. The door creaked open, She turned around. It was Mary by the door, she walked up and lay back in the bed looking at Jane. "Where'd you go?" Jane asked.
"Nothing, just the restroom.." Mary replied with a yawn after. The girls stared for a hot second realizing what they were both doing.
"I had never slept with a girl from school before." Mary said not concentrating.
"And I never slept with a nerd before." Jane smiled. "Hey!." Said as she stared with her tired eyes. "Kidding, I never slept with anyone from school before. " Jane rephrased. "You snored loud." Mary had to add, it looked as if it was on her nerves." Sorry, I am a heavy sleeper." She replied. "It's fine, I'm glad we've met. I wouldn't really survive high school without you." She said thoughtfully. "It's only been half way through the month, and I'm glad I met you too. People at school are complete dick heads. Besides Nina and Natalie.." Jane replied as she got closer. Jane stared looking Mary's tired face with her soft neutral smokey eyes from her make up yesterday. She couldn't bare enough to place a kiss on her with a look just like that. And of course she went for it anyway, Jane pulled Mary closer to land a kiss on her lips just for a hot minute. BANG BANG, as the door was open with Jessie in the doorway banging her sister'a door. The girls jumped and looked at her,"ok we get it, you guys slept and made out and made out again in the morning. You guys can literally do this another time." As she rolled her eyes." Eggs and bacon are ready." Jane rolled her eyes as well, "we weren't making out!" Jane yelled to get her sister' attention from the stairs.
"Whatever just get down here!" She replied with a scold. Mary laughed at the entertainment Jane was playing. She gave a small kiss on the cheek ,grabbed her glasses, and headed downstairs. Jane watched her leave the room, leaving a smirk on her face.
"She definitely is the one after all." She thought as she joins and follows her down the stairs.
