"Hello?" A voice rang out in the seemingly empty apartment.

Y/N walked further into the room, taking off their shoes and setting their things down. They put their keys back on the hook.

They had just come back from college after a horrible day. It just seemed as though everything had gone wrong. Their teacher had yelled at them for accidentally falling asleep after their sleep deprived night before class, someone spilled their coffee on them, and to top it all off, they had forgotten the assignment they worked so hard on doing at the apartment without time to retrieve it.

Y/N sighed, rubbing their eyes and walking towards their boyfriends' office.

Knocking, they quietly peeked in, seeing him recording a manhunt with his friends.

"Hey Y/N/N!" He smiled softly at them after pausing and muting.

"Hey," they muttered.

"What's wrong?" He asked in a softer voice, starting to get up.

"Nothing! Don't worry! I'm just tired," they smiled at him, starting to walk back out.

He stopped them and turned them around, looking them in the eyes.

"What's wrong?" He repeated, this time holding their shoulders gently.

"I said I'm okay, I don't wanna bother you.."

"You wouldn't be bothering me, Y/N. We're recording earlier than usual anyways!"

They sighed and nodded, giving in.
"Can I hug you?" They whispered.
"Of course!" Dream said, as he wrapped his arms around Y/N. They did the same to his waist.
Dream gently picked them up, telling everyone he was leaving due to an issue that came up, and bringing Y/N to the couch.

"So, you gonna tell me what's up?" He said, holding them closely.
"It was just a bad day you know? One of those days where everything goes wrong. I mean I still have fucking coffee on my shirt!"

Dream looked down, just now noticing the faded brown stain on their white shirt.
He laughed gently.
"What's so funny!" They said.

"Nothing nothing! Here, just take my hoodie,"
He took his hoodie off, handing it to them and looking away as they changed into it.

When they were done, he turned back around and held them close.

"I'm sorry your day was so awful, but on the bright side, there's always tomorrow! And even if something bad happened today, that's only one day out of the thousands we live, okay?"

They nodded softly, leaning into his shoulder as they sat on his lap.
"Thank you," they whispered.

"Of course love, now go to sleep, I know you haven't been getting enough of that recently."

You nodded again, and closed your eyes.
"I love you Dream," they mumbled, falling into a deep sleep within minutes.

"I love you too, Y/N/N."
He pulled them closer and kissed their forehead, closing his eyes too.
