"How much longer are we doing this?" - Yuvan questioned.
"Until we get a report from the department that the city has been cleaned" - Archie replied.
"I honestly don't want to carry on. You s-shot... 10 people already!" Yuvan stammered, trying to not feel guilty for being involved.
"Nah around 26. Their bodies will be picked up soon. I reported it over the radio already. How many have you shot? That's right, 0." - Archie complained. "I need to reload the gun soon."
"How do you not feel anything? 26 people is a lot!" - Yuvan questioned with a sharp expression, as he hands Archie some ammo clips from his rucksack.
"As I said, kids deserve it. Plus their parents shouldn't have tried hidin' 'em and all ya know?" - Archie responded, taking the clip and sliding it into his handgun, before racking the slide. "Man, wish there was a little more action in 'ere and maybe, just maybe, you got the damn courage to whip that gun out of yours and shoot some of these bastards."
"Why in the hell do you care, huh? I will shoot when I need to alright?" - Yuvan responded in an annoyed tone, slowing down his pace to match Archie's.
"Yeah... missed the opportunity 26 or so times." *cough* " I'm always the one that has to get ya outta the way and do the dirty business. If I don't and watch ya stand there like a coward, they will just run away and the chief will be pissed at us."
Turning the corner together down the main street, a mother and two children were seen in the distance. They hurried from door to door, begging to be let in.
"Ey girl stop!" - Archie shouted with his gun in hand and sprinted towards the woman with the kids. "Ey, ya heard me!"
Yuvan quickly trailed behind Archie.
The mother with a terrified face, saw two police officers coming her way and whispered to her children. The two kids responded immediately and sprinted away as fast as they could. The mother was left behind to fend for herself with no one but her insight. The roads had a few dried blood stains as well as a few empty guns, scattered on the floor.
"Looks like police officers already bin 'ere ahead of us. I'll go after 'em, you stay with her!" - Archie appointed as he chased after the two kids.
With Archie away, the woman kicked Yuvan down, clawing at his face whilst insulting him. In the act of self-defence, he whipped out his pistol and attempted to fire a warning shot, but as luck would have it. Yuvan ended up firing it directly into the woman's arm.
The woman sprung away and cried in agony. The blood trickled down her arm at first but suddenly, it gushed out violently.
"Dang it... what have I done!?" - Yuvan cried, throwing his gun on the floor in a fit of confusion.
"Finish me off. I have nothing to live for. My children are probably dead now!" - the woman shouted, sounding defeated. She glanced at her wounded arm and noticed a hole pierced into her skin. "My arm! My arm!"
Yuvan stood speechless, unsure of what to do.
'What no! Are you insane? I am sorry. I know that my words can't reverse time but let me take you to the hospital. I will call the medics too!" - Yuvan insisted as he tried to help the woman up from the floor but she pushed him away aggressively.
"I-I don't want your god damn help. Y-you have done enough already. Just shut up!" - The woman cried again, still holding onto her exposed arm as she watched Yuvan throw his rucksack to the floor in a panic. "Quit tryin'. F-fuck you and your whole dang police department! I swear God will punish you. "
