"The thing is, I don't know how to plan a wedding. Where do I even start? Help me, mister groom!"

At the Higher Ground Cafe, (in Belfountain situated in Caledon. Yes, I have to be that precise about our location), Viviano and I were meeting to chat and eat.

"Did you just really call me mister groom? That's so... Repulsive. It's a repulsive nickname."

"But, you're a mister and you're a groom.", I reminded him, a slight smirk on my lips.

"Mister groom doesn't fit me, okay?"

I shrugged, instinctively checking if my space buns were still neat. I was so scared that they would fall apart. Every time I put my hair in buns, I loaded them with hair pins and yet still felt the need to touch both to make sure that no strands were flying off of them.

"Hmh, sure. But, still, help me here!"

Viviano rested his head on his hands, propping his elbows on the table, answering : "Charles, I literally had a fight with Teerana because of the suit I chose for the wedding. It wasn't what she wanted for me. Anyway, I don't know anything about weddings."

A recurrent question popped up in my head.

This question may have kept me up at night (also because Dallas had a new passion, singing... Parrots tend to sing when they are happy so I never dared asking Dallas to stop. To be honest, he would not have listened to me anyway...). Viviano didn't appear to be in love with Tee, and didn't want to get married, so then why was he? I attempted a subtle question to ease my curiosity.

"What do you love the most about Tee? I need to know... For wedding planning purposes."

The fiance of my best friend straightened himself on his chair.

   "To be honest?"

   "Yeah..."

I gulped, he seemed tense, what was he hiding?

   "Her best friend."

He winked at me, a cheeky smile quickly forming on his face. I blushed, spilling coffee on the white table.

   "Wha-"

"I'm joking..! Honestly, I would need to choose her money. Your friend is rich rich."

So he's in it for the money? Teerana surely didn't know that. I needed to tell her, but would she believe me or would she think I'm doing this to steal her fiance? I put my arm on the stain as an employee walked near our table.

"So you're marrying for money, basically. Like in the 18th century."

   "Yep."

It was like Viviano sensed that my best friend wouldn't trust me on that matter and that was why he was so honest about it.

"So your favorite things about Tee are money and her best friend, who is me.", I affirm, playing with my pen.

A notepad next to a basket of bread was waiting for me to write wedding planning things in it. But I really hadn't got a clue on how to do this. Did I need to rent or buy a venue? I slid the pad in front of me and whined out loud:

"Can I give up my spot of maid of honour, I really don't understand what to plan for the wedding."

Viviano laughed at me, rolling his eyes. Didn't he get the pressure I was feeling right now?

"Ask Teerana's parents to help you, it's the only option."

   "..."

My friend stood up, stretching a hand in my direction. I took it.
