PufferPelt yawned, blinking his eyes open, his kits still slept by his side. " Morning PufferPelt...your kits need milk yet? " DawnFlower asked, and PufferPelt shook his head " No, there not up yet.. " PufferPelt purred, and gently lapped at the kits head. " Have you named them yet? " DawnFlower asked, and PufferPelt nodded, " I came up with them last night, the little brown tabby She-cat Will be DuskKit, the grey spotted she-cat will be SoftKit, and the white and grey tom will be GorseKit " PufferPelt meowed, and DawnFlower nodded " There lovely names, I know DownPebble would love them " DawnFlower meowed, and looked down at her kits " I see so much of BeetleWhisker in them both....I wish he didn't go... " DawnFlower mumbled, and PufferPelt put his paw on DawnFlowers " We  both lost cats we love...but we have to continue to move on, it's what they would want " PufferPelt meowed, and DawnFlower nodded " Your right, who do you think MistyStar will make deputy? " DawnFlower asked, and PufferPelt shrugged " Maybe MintFur, or IceWing " PufferPelt meowed. " May all cats old enough to swim the rapids gather for a clan meeting! " MistyStar called, and PufferPelt slowly stood up " Keep a eye on them? " PufferPelt asked, and DawnFlower nodded. PufferPelt slid outside, and and sat down next to PrimrosePeak. " RiverClan, as we pick up the pieces, we need a new deputy...I saw these words before StarClan, in hopes they will accept my answer " MistyStar announced, and looked out at the crowd " PufferPelt, will you be our deputy? I know you should be the one to take over GrassPelts position " MistyStar asked, and PufferPelt rose to his paws, hesitantly, he nodded " I will, I'll take over GrassPelts position " PufferPelt meowed, and the clan cheered " PufferPelt! PufferPelt! " The cats cheered, and PufferPelt purred, and jumped up next to his mother, and pressed his nose against hers " I'm so proud of you, my kit " MistyStar purred, and PufferPelt smiled " I know it's sudden, but JaggedPaw and LilyPaw fought bravely in the battle, and they lost HawkPaw...maybe they should be given warrior names " PufferPelt meowed, and MistyStar nodded " That is a wonderful idea, LilyPaw, JaggedPaw! Step forward " MistyStar called, and the two scampered forward. " We believe you should be rewarded for your bravery, you both shall be made warriors " MistyStar meowed, and the two jumped excitedly. " LilyPaw, JaggedPaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the coast of your own life? " MistyStar asked, and the two nodded " We will! ". " Then I give you your warrior names, JaggedPaw, you will be known as JaggedStripe, StarClan honors your bravery and courage in battle. LilyPaw, I name you LilySnow, StarClan honors you for your compassion and bravery, we welcome you as full warrior of RiverClan! But before we celebrate....HawkPaw, I know you hear us, I wish to give you a Warrior name even though you hunt with StarClan now, I name you HawkFlight, we honor your bravery in the battle, and you will be remembered as a hero amongst the clan. " MistyStar announced, and the clan cheered " LilySnow! JaggedStripe! HawkFlight! " PufferPelt purred, he was a father and successful warrior,how much better could life get.
