The Ball - KOTLC fanfic

Chapter 2

SOoooo ik ik i haven't posted or like done ANYTHING to this story for ages. But I actually wrote this part and then forgot to send it but I'll try to write more like in life.

They all followed Magnate Leto in silence until they reached his office and then the parade of questions and shouts came. 

"WHAT HAPPENED?"
"WHY ARE WE HERE?"
"DID SOMETHING HAPPEN WITH THE NEVERSEEN??'

Fitz, Keefe and Sophie were all shouting over each other. Tiergan looked almost as confused but stayed silent and Magnate Leto just waited until they were all silent before he started to begin,

"So, you all seem very confused to as why you are here and well, there's a problem... Lady Gisela and Vespera have all disappeared from their highly advanced cells." Magnate Leto said, with a rather dismayed voice.

"WHAATTTTTTTT." 

"HOWWWW"

"UGHHHHHH NOOO"

"WHY MOMMY DEAREST WHYYYY"

"That is what I thought your reaction would be like and it is well deserved, but I felt it would be better if you were informed." Magnate Leto said, again in his sad, but angry tone.

"So.... what do we do now?" Fitz said, whilst Keefe was  muttering a string of curse words under his breath accompanied with many "UGH idiot Mother Dearest".

Sophie was still too shocked to say anything and the only person who had a reasonable response was Tiergan, who Sophie was surprised since he was one of the main Collective leaders. "So... we need a plan right? And how did they escape - those cells are impenetrable, you even have limited oxygen access to make it harder to live."

"That's the thing, we don't know. And currently, we don't have a plan," Magnate Leto announced, waiting for everyone to finish their outbursts before he continued mostly talking to Tiergran "By the way, I found out only 2 minutes ago and decided to find these three and tell you at the same time, rather than waiting for everyone to access their imparters and then alert the collective."

Sophie saw the broken, lost boy emerge in Keefe again so she decided to intertwine their fingers together, letting him lean on her to keep him steady. She then whispered into his ear, "We'll find her, we'll be fine. Trust me. You do trust me, right?"

"I always trust you Foster, but this is my mum - and her even more evil sidekick," Keefe said, keeping his eyes fixated on the ground -to stop the tears from rushing out- and his voice was cracking ever so slightly.

"Its fine, we've got this," she said, wiping the lone tear drifting down his face the turning to the rest of the people around the, " we need a plan, so how are we going to solve this." 

 She was met with an abundance of stares, sighs and blank faces and she decided they needed 'backup' if they were going to come up with a plan.

She called the 'gang' and they were all as shocked, annoyed, infuriated... as Sophie, but she made sure that she was always by Keefe's side - despite all the 'interested' stares she was getting, especially from Fitz.

"GUYS. This isn't going to get us anywhere. SO time to come up with a plan." she said as certainly as she could, interrupting everyone's arguments.
