Edward was standing by as he watched an obviously human Rosalie run towards the woods and into a clearing where another girl stood. He was shocked when the girl turned around and he saw Josephine Swan standing there. "Josie!" Rosalie squealed.
Rosalie had never been this happy to see someone, Edward was absolutely sure of that. "Rosie!" Josephine said as she brought Rosalie into a hug.
When the two pulled back Josephine's lips captured Rosalie's. The two kissed for awhile and Edward felt awkward watching it happen.
When the two pulled back their foreheads we're resting together as they struggled to breath. "Father and Royce King the III were talking again. They've finally agreed on a price Josie. I don't want to marry Royce. I love you not him." Rosalie said with tears in her eyes.
Josephine rubbed her back in comfort. "Hey, it's alright Rose. No one is going to respect you until you show them who you really are." Josephine said.
Rosalie sighed. "My father is a vile man and would hurt you or worse Jo. He'd kill you for loving me in a way only man should as he puts it." Rosalie said as she clung on to the love of her life.
"I would always find you even after death Rosalie. You're the love of my life. Nothing could keep us apart. Not even death. You complete me. My other half. My soulmate. In every tale of olden times it was said that humans were born with two heads, four arms and four legs. They were split in half by Zeus who thought that they were too powerful and would try to overthrow him as king of the gods. It was said that the two halves of one whole wouldn't feel complete until they found each other again. That was when soulmates we're born. You're my soulmate. The person I'm meant to spend eternity with. If I die or you die, I will always find you again if it was meant to be." Josephine said passionately.
"I love you Jo." Rosalie said after awhile of processing what her lover said. "And I love you Ro." Josephine said.
Edward sat back looking at Rosalie with wide eyes as he stared between Josephine Swan and Rosalie Hale. "How is that possible?" Edward asked Rosalie. Everyone else at the table was completely confused.
"Will someone tell me what's going on?" Emmett asked impatiently.
Josephine stood up quickly as she put her tray in the trash walking outside. Rosalie stood up quickly running after the girl she knows is her mate.

Josephine was so confused. Rosalie was here, did she remember her or was Josephine the only one who remembered. Is this what lady Fate meant when she said that Rosalie was her true mate.
Rosalie ran after Josephine who was speed walking towards the woods. "Josie!" Rosalie shouted. Josephine came to a sudden stop. She shook her head. Only Rosalie Hale has ever called her that nickname. She wouldn't allow anyone else to call her that.
"You're not real." Josephine shouted back as she vamp speed into the woods leaving a shocked Rosalie who sped after her.
Rosalie was having trouble keeping up with her mate so she took a quick shortcut that she knew very well.
Josephine slowed down when she saw her hallucination of her old lover disappear. She knew Rosalie wasn't real. That was until she felt her back get pressed up against a tree and she came face to face with her lover and mate who instead of her violet blue eyes that she used to have were replaced with the golden amber eyes that she now sported.
Josephine physically felt Rosalie pin her against the tree and her breath caught in her throat. "No, no that's not possible. You, you're a hallucination. You're not real." Josephine said as she let a tear fall.
"Hey, I'm real, I swear to you Jo, I'm really here. How are you here? You, you died. I watched you bleed out. You should be dead." Rosalie said as she cupped her mate's cheek in one hand.
Josephine felt the cold marble touch her cheek and she sighed contently. Rosalie was actually here. "You're here. You're real." Josephine said with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I'm real." Rosalie reassured her lover. Josephine nodded and brought Rosalie's head towards her own, capturing Rosalie's lips with her own in a heated kiss.
The two girls sighed contently as they felt each other in their arms once again after 70+ years of not seeing each other.
Everything fell into place again. They felt whole for the first time in decades.
When they pulled back they rested their forehead together and smiled cutely at each other.
"You're alive." Rosalie whispered in awe. "I'm alive." Josephine said to reassure her mate.
"I, I love you Rosalie Lillian Hale. With all of my soul. With ever fiber of my very being. I love you in ways you couldn't imagine you could be loved. I've watched you grow into this badass vampire from above and I've waited such a long time to tell you that I'm proud of you. So very proud. You're the best part of me Rose. Everything that makes me, me is because of you." Josie said.
"I've waited decades for you my love. I thought all was lost until I had seen you sitting in that cafeteria chair. You once promised me you'd find me after death and I'm so glad you kept that promise, because I wouldn't know what to do or how to imagine my immortal life if I couldn't spend it with you or be around you." Rose whispered to her mate.
"You don't have to imagine life without me because I'd follow you to the ends of the infinite galaxies if you'd have me." Josie said. "I wouldn't want it any other way." Rosalie said.
The two mates smiled at each other after so long, they truly didn't know how long they'd of survived if they hadn't met once again. They were fated by the stars to meet, to lose each other, and then to reunite once again.
A fates love story, one told for millennials to come.
