Chapter 6

So Rowen went to go and take a bath wanting to relax, what he didn't realize was just how tired he was and how hard it was to keep your head above water when your on the verge of sleep......

He could feel his head sinking under water but his brain was shutting down and he couldn't move.

All he could do was panic internally before fully submerging into the water, black slowly consuming his vision before it was the only thing he could see.

"Why were you out with that human boy again?" A demon that mortals call Mara snarled when she saw Blade appear back in Hell.

"Because he was using one of his wishes, why do you care?" Blade snapped back with a harsh glare.

Mara and him had been fuck buddies at one point in the past but when Mara tried to make them more then that Blade broke if off completely.

Let's just say that Mara was pissed and is always trying to either get back into his pants or get revenge.

"One of his wishes? We are only supposed to grant one wish per person!" Mara said sounding confused and slightly pissed.

"He wished for more wishes." Blade replied with an eyeroll.

Suddenly he felt like something was horribly wrong. It felt like someone had dropped a ton of bricks into his stomach at the same time someone screamed Rowen's name in his head.

"Fuck." He said, panic in his tone before he disappeared once again leaving Mara there alone looking perplexed.

"ROWEN! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Blade yelled once he appeared back inside of the humans bedroom, making his voice so only Rowen could hear him so he wouldn't be heard by Rowen's parents.

"ROWEN?" He yelled as he searched the room before seeing that the bathroom door was slightly open and the light was on.

"Rowen?" Blade asked as he walked towards the bathroom door before he saw Rowen fully submerged in the bathtub.

"What the fuck?!" He asked panicked as he ran over to the mortal before picking him up out of the tub, soaking the sleeves of his shirt.

He then sat Rowen up so his back was against the wall.

Blade pressed his hand on Rowen's chest and used his powers to make all of the water he had inhaled dissappear before checking for a pulse.

He let out a breath of relief when he felt one and nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Rowen loudly gasp for air.

"What the fuck was that about?! You know that if you die before you use all one hundred of your wishes then I die too right?!" Blade asked when Rowen looked at him with wide eyes. He made sure to keep his tone down so it wasn't a yell however, he didn't want to scare the poor mortal even more then he already was.

"I-i don't know. I'm sorry, I just wanted to take a bath before going to bed. I didn't mean to let my head fall under water." Rowen said as tears brimmed his eyes.

He wasn't hurt from Blade's words, he was more reeling over the fact that he almost drowned to death in his bathtub.

"Hey don't cry, it's okay, I didn't mean to fuss at you right once you woke back up." Blade said worried that he was the one to make Rowen tear up.

Rowen just shook his head, trying to show that's not what he was upset about before he noticed that he was fully out of the water and was sitting fully naked infront of Blade.

A dark blush instantly grew on his face as he quickly brought his knees up to his chest in an attempt to hide himself from the demon.

"Oh right, um here." Blade said as he got a towel from the wall and threw it at Rowen's knees.

"Anyway, are you okay? You did just nearly drown." Blade asked seemingly unfased by seeing the man naked earlier.

"Yeah I'm okay now. Thank you for saving me." Rowen chuckled as he stood up, wrapping the towel around his waist as he did so.

"No problem I guess. Like I said earlier, if you die before you use up the rest of the wishes then I die too so I'm going to be doing my best to keep you alive." Blade said as he took a small step back away from Rowen.

"So instead of a garden angel I'll have a garden demon?" Rowen laughed making Blade roll his eyes, yet he couldn't help but smile slightly as well.

"You could say that." He agreed before he turned to walk out of the door.

"Where are you going?" Rowen asked, panic flashing in his eyes at the thought of Blade leaving so soon.

"I was going to leave the room so you can change. Or would you rather me stay and enjoy a free show?" Blade responded, instantly soothing Rowen's panic.

"Oh ok, that's fine. I'll only be a minute." Rowen smiled with a soft blush getting a nod in reply.

So Blade left the room, flicking his finger towards the tub before he left making all of the water instantly drain away.

Once Rowen was changed he left the bathroom and saw Blade laying down on his bed.

"Are you comfortable?" He laughed when he saw Blade cuddled up with one of the bear plushies he had.

"Very actually, in Hell we don't have these things." Blade answered as he showed Rowen the bear plush before bringing it back to his chest to cuddle it again.

"Wow, I've never wished to be that plush before now." Rowen thought before he could actually think of the thought.

"Well then maybe you should talk to someone in Hell and change that." Rowen smiled as he sat down next to Blade.

"And maybe I will." Blade shrugged, gently placing the plush on the other side of him before wrapping his arms around Rowen's torso, pulling him down so he was laying down instead of sitting up.

"What are you doing?" Rowen asked, his face flairing a dark red.

"Its called cuddling. I've heard that you mortals do it to stay warm and get comfort so I figured that you would want both of those things considering what happened." Blade explained as if it was obvious.

"Oh." Rowen replied, blushing even darker if that was possible.

"What if my mom walks in? What do I tell her?" Rowen asked before thinking about it for a second.

"Oh my goodness, did my mom see you? Did she hear you? Can she hear us now? Does she think I've finally lost it and am just talking to myself up here all alone?" He rapid fire questioned as he sat up some, pulling away slightly from Blade.

"Calm down, your mother didn't see or hear me and she can't hear us talking at all right now. I don't even think she knows your home yet." Blade answered in a deep, soothing voice as he pulled Rowen onto his chest, wrapping his arms around his back before moving one of his hands up to his hair.

Rowen's entire body relaxed almost instantly when he did this, he felt like his body was melting into Blade's embrace.

"Go to sleep now love, it's been a stressful day for you. I'll still be here when you wake up. I promise." Blade said as he ran his hand through Rowen's hair.

Rowen couldn't even get out a verbal response before he fell asleep, his brain not registering the pet name as a strange thing and instead registered it as a thing of comfort.
