Cristine is what matt's mom's name will be
and his grandma will be named Amelia just so this chapter makes more sense)
Christine had been cleaning up breakfast, her friends and her mom had come to dinner. She would lived quite a distance from her only child but she was always very happy when he would call her.
She put the dirty plates In soapy water to soak and went to her elderly mother, who was having trouble putting thread through a needle hole.
" Er mom, do you need help?" She asked
" I almost got it sweetie, don't worry. I'll be fine."
" I wonder what Matt is up to."
" I'm sure whatever hes doing he's happy"
Christine was hoping for something exciting to happen someday, the last time she had seen her son in person was when she went with her son and his best friend, edd, to a pride parade. Matt was bisexual and edd was pansexual. While she was straight she was a Ally and loved her son no matter what, so was her mom Amelia.
She sat next to her elderly mother, and looked at a old box of homemade plushies her mom used to make for Matt
" Do you ever think Matt will start a family of his own?" Amelia asked
Catching Christine's attention
" When he's ready, we don't want to rush him."
" I would love to have a great grandbaby before I'm dead it would show my age!" She joked
Something most women Amelia's age found odd about her was the fact she was proud about her age and would tell anybody who asked.
Amelia was in her mid 80's and was living her best life despite her body not being what it used to be
" Oh mother only you are glad to reveal your age, and that's why your such a great mom"
" I believe I wasn't good enough, you got into a bad relationship.. he hurt my grand baby.. if i was strong enough I would've stopped him before he hurt him!" Amelia grumbled
"Ah yes, but i can never fully hate him because he did gave me Matt. What did I do to deserve him..?" Christine added
" You did your best Darling, and your best will always be good enough for me." Amelia said giving her daughter a kiss on the forehead
Christine smiled at the affection only a loving mother could give justice
" I'm going to clean the dishes mom"
" Of course, take your time, we have a lot of it left despite what the news says!" Amelia smiled at her daughter and Christine smiled back going to the kitchen.
Christine after divorcing matt's father decided to never get with somebody else, she decided she could be a good mother without a man in her life and she was happy with just a single son in her life.
She was scrubbing the dishes clean when she got a call from her son her eyes brightened with joy and she immediately picked up the phone and answered it.
"Hello matt what's Up? We haven't talked in some time sweetie what was happening?" Christine began, holding the phone to her ear with a shoulder as she washed the dishes
" Hello this is edd, matt's freind," edd began, Christine smiled at edds voice, matt's closest friend who always blushed around him
They would make such a cute couple, but I will not bother friendship with my silliness
"Matt has something he meant to tell you much sooner!" She heard the phone shift
" Uh, mom.. you know how you always wanted a grandkid-" Matt began his voice slightly awkward sounding
" Yeah?" She began, but the word grandkid kicked in immediately "OH MY GOSH! Did you get a girlfriend?! Am I having a grandbaby?!"
" Yeah.. I.. I've been pregnant for like nine months and I'm in labor, sorry for not telling you sooner I was just really busy-"
