People think you can survive in this world by living as someone you're not, by living as what everyone wants you to be. But me? I don't follow societies rules. I don't live as someone I'm not. And that's one of the reasons a lot of people in my classes hate me. They expect me to live up to social likings, to live up what people expect me to be. But I Don't. If I can't be myself, then I'll just be a nobody. I'd rather be someone everyone hates than be someone I'm not. In the process of my first year of college, everyone hated me but two people. And I mean everyone. The only two people who were willing to be my friends were Seth Borden and Josh. Seth was kind of an outcast because he's somehow related to Lizzie Borden (a murderer) and no one likes Josh because they claim he's gay. We don't know if he is or not, but either way neither me nor Seth care. That's when I met Katrina, we became great friends. She was my first friend there besides Seth and Josh. We got along well for never meeting before. That's when she brings me over to her house for a sleepover..

"Hey, Colby!" I heard someone say from behind me. I turned around to see Seth and Josh. "Hey," I replied as we start walking off school property. "Who was school today?" Josh asked and I sighed. "You ask like it ever gets any better." I said with a laugh and he sighed. "Well, uhmm.. Seth? How was your day?-" He asked, now looking at Seth. "Same as every other day." He answered and Josh nodded. "Well, I'm gonna just go home today guys. I'm tired and have some assignments to do." I said and walked away with a wave.
As I was walking home I felt someone walking behind me and turned, seeing nothing. I then started walking a little faster. That's when I bumped into someone and lost balance. The person turned around and looked at me. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I said and he laughed a little, extending his hand to help me up. I take his hand hesitantly and stand up. "Are you okay?" He asked and I just nodded. "I'm sorry again. I just felt someone following me then I heard a noise and so it kinda freaked out." I said with a laugh and he chuckled. "It's fine, don't worry about it!" He said and I sighed. "Uhm.. weird question, are you Sam Golbach? Like- Like on YouTube?" I asked quietly and he nodded with the slightest laugh. "O- oh! Well uhm... it's been nice to actually meet you but I really have to get home." I said and he gave me a strange look. "What do you mean 'actually meet me'?" He asked as I started to walk off and I turned towards him. "Oh! I watch your Youtube! I have for years, I was on of your first subscribers! Well I gotta go!!" I say with a smile then ran off. I saw and smile appear on his face as I said that, and it only brightened at the sight of my smile.
I rushed through the door and ran into my sister Evan. (this is in the story only) "Woah woah woah! Calm down there, Colbs! What's up?" She said and I smiled. "I met SAM!" I said excitedly and she looked at me in disbelief. "Like Sam Golbach!?" She asked and I nodded. "No way." She said and I nodded again, walking down the hall and to my room. I sat my backpack next to my desk as I sat in my chair and looked out the window. Sooner or later, I got out my laptop and opened YouTube when I got a notification that Sam Golbach was streaming. I opened the stream and watched. I noticed that the title said "Fan encounters w/ Trap house and friends" and sighed.

Sam waved at the camera and so did everyone else. "Hey guys! If you read the title, you should know that today we will be talking about our fan encounters. Some will be quite strange, while others will be some of the best encounters with fans we've had." He said and Jake smiled, putting his arm around Sam but Sam pushed him away. It was the normal thing for them. "Why don't you start, Jake?" Aaron said and he groaned but sat up. "So, a few weeks ago I was at the mall with Tara and Corey and these three girls walked up to us. They asked who we were and when we told them they completely freaked out. Like screaming and shit." He said and Sam and Corey laughed. "It was so weird though. I just walked away unnoticed and went to a random shop there." Corey said and everyone laughed. "What about you, Sam? Didn't you say you had a fan encounter just earlier?" Mike asked and he nodded. "Yup, I did. I was just on a walk when I heard hurried steps behind me and someone had ran into me then I heard a thud. I turned around and they were in the sidewalk, I'm guessing they lost balance and fell. He apologized and I just laughed a little then extended my hand to help him up. He grabbed my hand and stood up then apologized again. He said he felt someone walking behind him then heard a noise and so he sped up because it freaked him out a little." Sam explained but Mike cut him off. "Wait, so he felt someone was following him then he heard a noise?" He asked and Sam nodded.
That's when I realized he was talking about me. Sam, literally my fucking idol, was talking about me on a livestream, in front of his friends.
"Anway, I told him it was fine and then he asked me if I was Sam Golbach on YouTube and I nodded and he said it was great he got to actually met me but he had to go. I was confused so I asked him what he meant. He said he's been watching my videos for years and that he was one of my first subscribers which made me smile and then he smiled at me before rushing off which made my smile even bigger." Sam said and Corey laughed. "Seems like you had a good one. Was he cute? Because if he made you smile like tha-" Corey was cut off by Elton elbowing him in his side. "Uhmmm... yes, he was cute.. He was adorable actually." Sam answered and Jake looked at Sam. "Did you get his numbers?" He asked and Sam shook his head.
Oh my fucking god. Oh. my. God. Sam Golbach called me cute. ADORABLE EVEN. My sister walked in and put her hand on my shoulder. "You okay?" She asked and I shook my head. "He- he call me- He called me cute-" Is all I could say before Evan pulled me up out of my chair. I was laying on my bed and just passed out.
Colby Brock: Hello, I would like to inform y'all that the boy you were talking about is my brother (I'm on his laptop rn) and he has passed out after having a full on gay panic after Sam calling him cute.
"Oh- Uh Sam-" Tara said and Sam looked at her. "Yeah?" He asked and she showed him what Evan had put in the chat. "Oh- uhmm... Sorry-" He said and Jake looked at it as well and burst out laughing. "What is it?" Corey asked. "Uhm.. The boy I was talking about passed out after I said he was cute - His sister just said so in the chat." Sam said and Corey sighed. "That's just proof he likes you." Elton said and Sam sighed. "Whatever."
