"The crown is broken in pieces but there are still more in my possession" _ Drake

Chalkline's POV

I had to drag myself to come here. I thought about walking out a so many times but I kept remembering that too many people were depending on me to see this through.

"Shall me we start Mr. Walker?"

Her voice was calming and that's what made me stayed.

"Whenever you are Moni" I replied.

I did that on purpose.

"Mr. Walker with all due respect I would prefer if you called me Ms. Sharp" She said.

"No problem" I replied.

I made myself comfortable in her huge couch.

"You are currently separated from your wife, correct?" She asked.

That question raced my heart a little.

Why the fuck did she start off with a hard question?

"I am" I replied.

Doing my best to remain calm, I took deep breaths, I picture the clouds and... fuck that shit.

"How does that affects you?" She asked.

I took another deep breath before I answered.

"I'm not eating well and I hardly sleep but as you know Ms. Sharp, I am filled with burdens" I said.

She made a note on her pad.

"I'm sorry you feel that way. Are you doing anything to help being separated from you family?"

I wanted to crawl out of my skin.

"There was not much to do but work so I could help ease my mind" I replied.

"Are seeing anyone Mr. Walker?"

Her questions are leading me to believe that she wanted to give me more than therapy.

"No, are you?" I asked.

I made her uncomfortable.

"That's not how this works Mr. Walker" She replied.

I got up from the couch and started walking back and forth.

"Then tell me how this works. You're going to ask me a bunch of questions and I am going to spill my guts to you so you can read and understand me some more then you will try to fix me. Is that it?" I asked.

She didn't seem so uncomfortable anymore. She was still making notes and looking at me as if she was reading me to filth with her mind.

"I'm not here to fix you sir, you are here because you need to be" She said.

I looked at my watch to see how much time I had left with her.

"Ok, ask me whatever you want" I said.

"First I need to know how did you get here?" She asked.
