Mel's POV

"Mel you sure you did christen dah yute deh because me nuh believe him christen" Cross said.

He made me laugh.

"I'm sure I did. His father and I went to a church on a Sunday and we stood before a pastor and we christened him" I said.

I remember it was raining that day and I told Senior that we should go another first Sunday.

He told me no, the rain was falling for a reason and today is the day that his son will be blessed.

"Him need to be dipped in some water again and this time add some ice to it" Cross said.

Everyone laughed.

"How is Stacy?" Jade asked.

She was silent, she barely ate and refused refused to leave her bedroom.

"She is resting, doctors orders" I told them.

"How much longer before we filed a missing person report?" Mandy asked.

"Couple more hours to go, to make a full 24 hours. It's early morning now and we can wait until mid day" Mystro said.

"I really don't believe that man is missing, he is somewhere trying not to be found because his father died" Junior said.

I looked at Mandy.

"What?" She asked.

Junior quickly realized what he did but it was already too late.

"Senior died, how no one told me that Senior died?" Mandy asked.

I took her shaking hands into mine.

"I'm sorry my dear, your brother wanted to tell you himself. Junior wasn't aware that you didn't know" I said.

She excused herself and I told Jade to go with her.

"I swear I never know" Junior said with remorse.

"That's ok. Its just something we all have to deal with" I said.

I wish I could take their pains away but I was feeling weak myself. I couldn't allow my children to be hurting and I'm laying in bed. I had to get back on my feet.

Chalkline's POV

I walked into the house and it felt like I was about to suffocate.

Thank God I wasn't there alone.

"Hey, are you ok?" Georgia asked.

"Yeah, I had a rough couple hours but I'm good" I said.

"Well it will get better soon" She said.

"So you and Kady are leaving today?" I asked.

I saw bags packed on the couch and the kitchen was empty.

"Yes, Kady already taken her stuff and I had a late night at the hospital so I'm finishing up now" She said.

"Ok I understand. So I won't see you guys again?" I asked.

She smiled at me.

"Well I hope to see you at the funeral if you would allow us  to pay our last respect and I am pretty sure I will see you at a wedding" She said.

I didn't even realise that I had to do a whole funeral.

"What wedding" I asked.

She took my hand and we sat on the couch.

"Your brother is marrying my cousin" She said.

"Who?" I asked.

"Amelia" She said with a face like I was supposed to know.
