Purpose?

Pattons POV

After I remade Thomas' oatmeal and settled him in on the couch, I made my way to Ansley's room.

I quietly made my way upstairs and wakes down the hall till I reached his room. I softly knocked on his door and started turning the knob, "Ansley? Kiddo, I'm coming in." I opened the door and saw Ansley curled up under the covers crying. I hurried over to his side and tried to asses what was going on.

Ansley's POV

I heard Patton come into the room and I curled up tighter as k tries to suppress my tears

"Ansley? Everything okay bud?" I heard him say from the other side of the blankets. I'd tell him what's making me cry, but I can't. He wouldn't understand. He wouldn't understand why I think the things I do or why I do the things I do. He wouldn't understand why I have to triple check that front door is locked every night or why I try to turn the door handle to a locked room countless times to make sure it's locked even though I can clearly see that Im not able to open it after the first time I attempt to open the door or why I have to unplug everything in the kitchen and living room at night.
He wouldn't understand because I barely understand why I do these things.

I felt the blankets being peeled off of me and I pull the strings to my hoodie tighter to hide my face. "Go away." I whisper with my raspy voice.

Pattons POV

I sat in the bed next the lump of blankets. "Do you wanna talk about it?..." I took the blankets the rest of the way off of Ansley. I could clearly tell that he had been biting his nails and scratching at his arms. "Is it Remus again?" I saw a slight nod come from Ansley and sighed. I summoned Virgil and signalled for him to stay with Ansley.

I stormed out of the room and went towards the end of the hall were Remus' room was. I burst through his door and he was laughing. Laughing? Laughing?? How can he find any of this funny??

Remus' POV

I could already hear Patton coming from down the hall. I couldn't help myself from laughing and when he came into my room to scold me for my 'wrong doings' he looked like a scrunkled muskrat with how squished his face was!

"Mmmmmnyes how can I help you good sir?" I said between laughs.

"Y- ... you maniac!!! How can you do this to them?? You know they barley know what the hell is going on so why are you poking and prodding at them while they're in a vulnerable state like this??" Patton yelled at me but just stared blankly at him. I could see Pattons face go from angry to sad to lost in a matter of seconds.

Pattons POV

I could feel the adrenalin coursing through my veins. How could he do this to my babies?-

I stopped suddenly as I heard whimpers coming from Ansley's room. "I'll deal with you later-" I ran back down the hall to Ansley's room to see Virgil cradling Ansley as he mumbled his this into Virgils chest. I set beside them on the bed and brushed the hair out of Ansley's face, "hey kiddo? Kiddo? Everything's okay, can you tell me what's wrong?" I smiled softly at him, trying to make it seems like I had the situation under control.

Ansley's POV

I looked up at Patton with my mouth gapped open as I tried to pull words together to created a comprehensible sentence, but nothing but whimpers and odd words fell out of my mouth. I put my arms out and latched onto Patton for comfort.

Patton POV

Ansley fell into my arms and I immediately scooped him up and looked to Virgil for an explanation on what had happened while I had been gone.

Virgils POV

My hands were jittery so I quickly pulled them into my sleeves to avoid having Patton trying to comfort both of us right now. "He uh, he said that he didn't want you to go talk to Remus and he started freaking out." I looked down and fidgeted with my sleeves, "he said something about not wanting to hurt you?..." I looked back up at Patton and saw that he had started crying and rocking Ansley back and forth. I heard him whisper to Ansley "I'm okay. You're okay..." before he picked Ansley up and took him to his room to stay with him.
