A Magical Waterfall

Throughout our visit with Ricky at the waterfall, my day was going fine. It felt good to help a pack member, especially one that rarely shows. Ricky was everywhere, so it wasn't hard to find him. It was his quietness that kept him hidden in the shadows. Every once in a while I would glance over at the waterfall because of the vibe it gave me. Serenity and relaxation felt so good, and with friends made it seem as if we were at a picnic. When Ricky was done he left, but Sorel wanted to stay more.

"See you guys later!" Ricky said.

We waved goodbye, and sat on a wooden stump watching the waterfall. He leaned against my side and fell asleep within seconds. I wouldn't blame him for being out this late. Well it was dark out, but how was the waterfall glowing? It gave off a scent that I wasn't familiar with and I wanted to get closer. Carefully putting Sorel down, I got closer and closer to the waterfall. I got so close that I fell in the water which woke Sorel up and joined me.

"Well this is lovely, we're both wet," Sorel said laughing.

"Yup. So, what do you want to do now?"

He looked at me as if to say to get out, but didn't say it. The water felt so good that I started floating on it. Sorel lifted an eyebrow and sat on top of me making me go down in the water.

"What was that for?"

"For fun," he said with a big smile.

"Oh yeah, well you're in for it now," I said with a wink.

"Hey don't forget what tomorrow is. It's Valentine's Day sweetheart."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot."

"Thanks to me. Now come here please."

Giving me the puppy dog eyes I couldn't say no. Even though I tried to fight it and say no, I couldn't. Puppy dog eyes were my weakness and Sorel knew that, so he knew how to get what he wanted. Which wasn't that often, especially when it was just me and him. When he had me in an embrace in the water, I saw a reflection of it in his eyes. They reminded me of a crystal and I got so close that our foreheads were resting on one another. For some odd reason I had a feeling that we were both floating. It was amazing when I noticed we actually were floating in the air. This waterfall was different than others which got me to wonder. Other than that, I loved this place because I could see the real Sorel. He looked down at me and kissed me with such passion. It felt like today was valentine's day already, but this could be more than I asked for. My mind was fogged up with the touch our lips and bodies intertwining. We were floating a few feet above the water, but it felt perfect. When we stopped kissing, we came down slowly to the water.

"How do you feel sweetie?"

"I feel better than I did earlier. Did you notice that we were floating?"

"Yes I did. It felt magical, wouldn't you agree?" he said leaning down with a big smile.

"That's the word I'm looking for. The whole time we were floating I couldn't find the right word. Thank you love."

"Let's go back home," he said leading me back the way we came.

On our way back to headquarters, I sensed something different in the air. Couldn't really figure it out, so I just kept walking. Luckily Sorel was by my side just in case something happened. I felt on edge until Sorel scooped me up and turned around to go back to the waterfall.

"Why are we going back to the waterfall, I thought you wanted to head back?"

"I did until a thought came to my mind."

"Tell me," I said giving him the puppy dog eyes. This was my first time trying, so I hoped it would work.

"I'll tell you when we get there."

I leaned my head against his chest while he carried me back to the magical place of the waterfall. Somehow I fell asleep when we arrived because I felt warmth of a fire, from Sorel's body, and two blankets - one under me and another over me. I was faintly awake and really tired, so I went back to sleep.

When I woke up the first thing I saw was Sorel roasting marshmallows over the fire. That reminded me that today was Valentine's Day. The smell of s'mores sweetened the air all around me. Sorel would look over at me every once in a while to make sure I was okay while he made breakfast. There was a wooden rack of fish and on the wood stump was some meat. Oh my gosh, I wanted to pounce on that meat so badly, but I controlled myself. Wow Sorel knew exactly how to start a day especially with all these delicious aromas of food. I got up and went behind him to give him a hug.

"You seem to be in a good mood."

"Of course I am. It's not just the food I'm happy about."

"Oh, is there something else?" he said turning around with a smile.

I swear that Sorel was good at multi-tasking because who else can make s'mores while looking at someone.

"Are you going to tell me or blush more?"

"I-I...Nothing. Look what you made me do. Dang it."

He made me blush even more, which is when I became clumsy and knocked over the fish. Crap. I knew that he couldn't pick it up because he was making breakfast, so I did it. Not having a problem with picking up my own mess, I somehow kept dropping it. Sorel was laughing because of my clumsiness which kind of made it worse. Eventually the mess was gone and I was sitting on the blanket. Then Sorel came over with the meat cooked in the shape of a heart which I thought was very sweet. A big smile came on my face and his.

"Happy Valentine's Day love. I have more, but I wanted you to try this first."

"Thank you so much. This is very good babe. How did you do it?"

"Let's just say I put a lot of love in it," he said going back for the remainder of my gifts. Come to think of it I didn't get him anything. That made me very sad, but I tried to think what could I get him. I'm pretty sure he would accept anything, but I wanted to get him something special.
