tw// death, accident

"Poor child..."

"His parents left him in debt."

"He doesn't have any relatives, does he?"

"Only his grandma in the city."

"As if he can meet her, they were kicked out of the family."

It hurts... It really hurts...

I can't cry, even if I try...

Seokmin sighed as he looked at his parents' picture. They died in a car crash, an accident as the town says. But it isn't. They were in a game of 'Temple Run' with the loan sharks, the government hid it as they were bribed and blackmailed. While the loan sharks' are in prison, so is their boss, but, I believe they have more debts than that.

Does it hurt him? No, why would he be hurt when they are just someone with whom he shares a house and the last name in his life.

They didn't act like his parents and barely acted like one. To them, he was just a stranger.

Days went by, and his grandma found him and got him. Luckily she doesn't hate him, unlike her hatred of his son.

She didn't know about his parents' debt. His parents' remaining money went to their funeral and other debts, so he doesn't have anything.

Here he is in one of the apartments of his grandmother before he decided to leave. He planned it all along, when he reached eighteen, he would leave his grandmother and visit her sometimes.

His grandmother won't let him go, but since it is his decision, she can't do anything but support him, so she gave him her apartment, one of the most expensive.

Starting to live on the twenty-fifth floor is pretty thrilling, and the good thing is it is near his university.

He sighed as he remembered he doesn't have any excuses to decline her offer.

"Mom, you shouldn't."

"I can, and Seokmin, it is hard to pay for a home monthly, especially when you are out of budget, so as my birthday gift, I'll just give you one of the apartments I have, don't worry about the price, the building is ours."

He then roams around. It is pretty big for a single person apartment.

The kitchen is big and he likes it, the living room is good and comfortable, and the master's bedroom with a walk-in closet is comfortable like home. Everything is perfect, everything is great.

He smiled as he put his things down in the living room.

But there is one thing he looks forward to...

Papillon Cafe. Butterfly cafe.

🍪

Joshua sighed as he opened the door. "Josh!" he then was greeted by the two, Seungkwan and Vernon, Seungkwan is a barista and cashier, while Vernon is a barista.

"Morning," he greeted back and smiled.

Everything in his cafe, Papillon Cafe is perfect. From the instagramable interior, drinks, everything. But one thing is missing, the pastries.

He kept looking for pastry makers- every week actually. But he can't find the perfect one. First, a person who claimed to work for ten years can't even make a cookie, another claimed to work for years and doesn't know how to use an oven, and it goes on and on and on, so he just gave up.

He is one of the youngest but biggest entrepreneurs in the city. He actually opened this to gain some money, from a wealthy family but he saved up money to open a cafe.

After living in France for sixteen years, he had the idea to open a french cafe. So here he is.

He opened his laptop to open the monthly budget. The place is not crowded yet so he took the opportunity of the rare silence.

"Hey, Jisoo," Seungkwan called and he looked at him. "Are you sure you wouldn't look for one?"

Joshua looked at him and shook his head. "I think I won't Seungkwan," he answered.

"Can you at least try one last time?" Vernon butted in as he sprayed the flowers with water. "I mean, it's not bad to try again."

Trying four times now, it would be impossible. "We tried four times now, I think it would be impossible," he answered and smiled. "But I'll think about it."

Both of the workers nodded and left to their own stations.

"I'm sorry I'm late, got caught up in traffic." The black-haired boy greeted me before walking to the employee room to change.

"Dang, Chan is now getting fired up," Seungkwan said and Vernon chuckled. Chan is also a barista here.

Rainy day, an empty cafe, and some soothing jazz music. Everything is so chill inside Papillon, and also a perfect day to read for Seokmin.

Bringing his book, Hollow City Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar Children Book two, by Ransom Riggs.

A perfect day to chill inside the cafe to drink his latte while reading.

He pressed the ground floor and waited for it. Walking outside the elevator and outside the tower. he walked a couple of shops to the corner of the block.

Papillon Cafe...

The bell of door rang inside the cafe. Seungkwan quickly goes to his station from watering the plants.

"Welcome to Papillon cafe!" he greeted the person. Seokmin smiled back as he looked at the menu. "Are you new here? You look new."

Seokmin chuckled before nodding. "Yeah, I just moved here." He smiled before he sees Seungkwan nodding. "What would you like to order?"

"A latte please." Seungkwan smiled before taking his order.
