After 1 week, Benjamin was discharged from the hospital. He is ok now and Beam was very happy and thankful at the same time to the donor of his sons blood.
He is also determine to forget about Forth, the first thing he do is dispose all the things that reminded of Forth to him. He gathers all forths things in his room, from pictures, clothes, toothbrush, anything that remind Forth. He put it all in the box and keep it to their stock room.
Next is his laptap.. he deleted all the pictures of Forth in it,also in his cellphone. All the emails that includes Forths messages, unfollow or even blocked him on his all social media sites.
He needs to do all of that to be able for him to forget the guy named ....Forth.
1 month had passed, Benjamins health become better and Beam is back on duty at the hospital after his indefinite leave of absent.
Since he get back to work, he always received a 1 stem white rose and a bar of chocolates everyday but theres no info who is the sender. It last for a month, all his friends teases him that he got an admirer but Beam keep on giving the rose and chocolates to the nurse on duty. He said to his friends that he will no longer accept anyone to be his boyfriend, he just want to focus more on Benjamin only. For him, 2 hurt aches are enough for him to loose hope in love. The only love he recognize now is his love to his son.
All the things that happened to Beam and Benjamin reach Forth. And he was hurt thinking that Beam lose hope on him. But he is also determined to win him back.
One day he plan to see Beam again. He go to the hospital with a bouquet of white roses. He wait patiently at the hospital waiting area when Beam arrives.
All the nurses and staff giggles upon Beams arrival. Nurse Anna approach him first.
"Dr. Beam..there is someone waiting for you at the lobby" she said while giggling.
"Who?" Asked Beam with knoted brows.
"A tall and handsome guy?" She said and wink at Beam. Out of curiosity Beam enters at the waiting. The guys back is shown at Beam, he was so confused who is this guy nurse Anna is talking about. Then the man turn his body slowly at Beam flashing his gummy smile towards Beam. Beam is shock at the moment. Forth is standing there, holding a bouquet of white roses, smiling at Beam.
"Hi Beam" he said nervously. But beam turn his back and started walking away from him. Forth follows him. "Beam..wait..lets talk please....beam" but Beam pretends that he didn't hear him and continue to walk in his office. Forth is fast catching the door no to close. He enters.
"Beam please..let's talk" he pleaded.
Beam still facing his back at Forth talked."We have nothing to talk about Forth, we already did that right? You already told me everything, you already told me...that...that...i...i am..nothing to you" said Beam stuttering in his words. He don't want to cry right now.
"I am sorry Beam...i know i hurt you so bad that day and i regret all of that..please let me explain." Said Forth.
"There's nothing to explain Forth, we're over..and this time it's for real".
"Beam please no...forgive me Beam...please..." Begged Forth crying.
"Leave me alone Forth..just get out" said Beam still his Back on Forth.
"Beam." Said Forth
"I said..get out." Said Beam in a stern voice
"Beam please." Said Forth still begging
"I said leave me alone....get out Forth....get out.." Shouted Beam
Forth didn't talk for awhile. "Ok Beam i will leave you for now...but i can't promise that i will not chase you tomorrow or the following day until you forgives me. I love you Beam and i am so sorry. Please give me chance to explain." And after that Forth place the flowers on top of Beams table and leave.
Beam is trembling, the moment Forth close the door he burst in crying. He feels that his knees are weak, he sit on the patients chair infront of his table and look at the flowers above his table while crying. "Why Forth...why?" He murmurs.
And when he received a call from emergency department for a patient. He immediately compose himself and fix his self, he don't need to be affected by Forths presence, Forth is nothing to him now, just like what he said 2 months ago.
At Lams house:
"He is angry at me Lam, what should i do?" Forth said
"Well Forth this is just the beginning, you know Beam is stubborn right, once he decides on something he will not change it, and you have to be more persistent and patient while dealing with him. Remember that you are the reason why he is like this" said Lam.
Forth heave a deep sigh. "I know Lam, i will not easily give up. I will win him back and Benjamin".
"And to tell you, do not, i repeat..do not use Benjamin to wooe his mama, Beam doesn't like that, he don't want that his son is being use by anyone on their own benefits. Benjamin is too precious." Warns Lam
"Yah,.i know that."
"Ok..good" said Lam "so what is your next plan?"
"I don't have specific plan but i will do anything to let him talk to me"
And Lam just nods.
Beam was exhausted the whole day, he had a 3 operation procedure, and 10 regular patient to attend too. He finished his rounds around 10 in the evening.
"Lets call it a day Dr. Beam" said nurse Anna.
"Yes Phi,.thank you for today" said Beam and they parted infront of the hospital. Beam is massaging his neck while walking to his car in the parking lot. When he enter his car and start the engine, it doesn't work. Even after few attempts. "Shit not today please." curse Beam. He was so dead tired. After so many attempts still the engine does not work. And when suddenly there's someone who knock on his window and when he open it, it's Forth.
"What happen Beam?" He asked worried
"What are you doing here?" Asked Beam irritated.
"I happen to went this direction when i saw you walked out of the hospital" said Forth, but of course it is not true because he was there waiting for him. "What happen?"he asked.
"My engine..." Then Forth open Beams car door and dragged Beam out gently
"Come i will take you home" he said
But Beam swatted Forths hand,. "No..i can go home alone. I will just grab a taxi from here." He said.
"Beam..at this hour it is hard to find a taxi in this area and it's a little late it's too dangerous." said Forth and Beam seems to think and after few minutes he nods.
Forth guide him to his car and let him sit on the passenger side and gently put sitbelt on Beam, their face almost touched.
During the ride back home, Beam was silent. He keep on looking outside the car window. And because of tiredness he drifted away. After 30 minutes drive, Forth reach Beams house, but Beam is sleeping soundly. He did not wake Beam up, he stares at his face for a moment. His Beam is peacefully sleeping with his button cute nose, red lips and pink cheeks. He misses him so much. He was tempted to touch it but retract his hands afterwards. He try to wake him up but Beam didn't move at all. So he decided to carry him bridal style to his house. Luckily Auntie Luchie is still awake waiting for Beam. She open the door and let Forth bring Beam upstair in his room. He gently put Beam in the Bed. "What a heavy sleeper" Forth said to himself. Yes, Beam is a heavy sleeper specially when he is tired.
He change Beams clothes into a comfortable pair of pajamas. And he peck on his lips before he bid his good bye. "Good night love, see you tomorrow" he whispers in Beams ear and covered him with duvet.
