When Beam work ended,. Forth pick him up to the hospital and went straight to Beams house. Tonight they've decided to tell the truth to Benjamin.
When they reached the house, Benjamin is in the living room watching tv. He was so engrosed to what he is watching and didn't noticed that Beam and Forth enters the house. He got startled when Beam kiss his cheeks.
"Hellow baby..how's your day?" Asked Beam.
"Mama" Benjamin exclaimed and immediately hug Beam who sit beside him in the couch.
"What are you watching hmmm? You didn't even noticed me" said Beam make a fake pout.
Benjamin immediately kissed Beams cheeks. "Ow..don't get mad mama, it's just i love watching spongebob you know..." He said while flashing his gummy smile, just like his father...just like Forth, thought Beam. "And don't pout, you look really cute mama" he continues and giggle.
Beam pinch his cheeks And he return Benjamins hug. "It's ok baby...mama is just teasing you" said Beam.
When Benjamin loosen his hug to Beam, he then saw Forth standing near them at the couch, behind Beam. He is smiling seeing that his son and his beloved Beam having a cute conversation. He then realized that he lost the happy seven years of his life without Beam and Benjamin by his side.
"Uncle Forth...you're here" Benjamin said and run to hug Forth. Then Forth lift Benjamin and hug him back.
"Yes baby..i fetch your mama at the hospital" said Forth and kissed Benjamins cheeks.
"Have you eaten?" Asked Benjamin
Forth shake his head "Not yet baby" he said.
"Then lets go lets eat" he said and go down from Forth.
"Wait baby" said Beam "you haven't eaten yet? Its already 9 pm" he asked and looked at auntie Luchie "Auntie?" He asked glaring.
"He said he wants to wait for you to return home, he ate cookies while waiting" said Auntie
Benjamin looked at his mama and then Auntie Luchie, he looks terrified at the moment, because he knows that Beam will get angry if he did not eat on time, and then he looked at Forth as if asking him to be his shield from his mamas anger. "Ahm, mama. I just wanted to...to...eat with you at dinner...it's been a awhile since we did that." He said and lowered his head looking pitiful with tears in his eyes.
Beam felt pain when Benjamin said that and he automatically go near him and pick up his son. "I am sorry baby, mama is not angry ok..its just that mama don't want you to get sick again...mama is sorry baby..sorry" he said and hug him tightly.
"I understand mama,.i am sorry too for being stubborn."
"Its ok baby,,come on lets eat, its getting late..hmmmnn?" He said and Benjamin nods. Forth pick up Benjamin from Beams arm and he carried him to the dining table. He wiped his tears and kissinghis cheeks.
They ate quietly and peacefully. After the dinner, Forth offers to clean Benjamin and put him into bed while Beam helping auntie to clean the dishes.
He then covered Benjamin with blanket when he felt that he fall asleep already, but soon as he try to get up, Benjamin hold his hands and talk. "I miss you dada, please stay with us, with me and mama" he said. Forth was taken aback from what he heard and he stares for a moment to his son.
"What did you say baby?" He clearly heard what the kid said but he intentionally asked again to make it clear once again.
"I knew dada,. I knew that you are my father" said Benjamin. Forth was speachless at the moment.
"Ha...how,..baby?" He asked, confused looked was evident to his face.
Benjamin sit up from his bed and cross his legs and face his father. "I always saw your picture on mamas belongings, and i accidentally read his diary with a picture of you inside. Then i tried to asked uncle Phana, at once he hesitated to answer all of my questions, but since i am so stubborn just like what mama said, he told me the truth in one condition that i will never asked mama about you, which i did." He then said and shrugged his shoulder.
He looked at Forths eyes "i know what you did to mama, i know that you've hurted him so much, i know everything, but of course it is one sided, i never got angry at you dada, i know that you had your own reason for doing that, but i didn't care about your reason, all i wanted to know is that..." Benjamin pause for awhile and hold Forths hands. "Are you staying here...with us...with mama...for good?" Forth burst into crying while hearing what his son told him, Beam was right, their son is one of a kind, bright and intelligent. He then hug Benjamin.
"I am sorry baby,. Dada is so sorry nah..." He said while crying. "I will never leave you again son, i will never leave your mama again, i won't promise but i will definitely not leave both of you again baby." He said and Benjamin nods.
"Thank you dada..." He said also with tears in his eyes. "Please don't make mama cry again, i love him as much as i love you.. i want to see him happy, truly happy."
"Yes baby, i won't.. thank you for accepting and understanding dada hmm..?" And Benjamin just nods.
Forth carry Benjamin and place him on his lap and hug his son. Soon Benjamin drifted to sleep uttering "i love you dada" before he go to dreamland.
While they were talking, Beam was about to enter the room when he heard Benjamin talked. He heard everything, he stand behind the door. He was crying, all along his son knows Forth, all along Benjamin know his sufferings. He can't contain his crying and he runs back to the living room, from their he sit to the sofa and calmed himself and waited for Forth to come out. After an hour due to tiredness and crying, he also fall asleep leaning his head on the arm rest of the sofa.
When Forth come out form Benjamins room, he saw Beam sleeping on the sofa, he went near Beam and lean closer to Beam, he saw tear stain on his cheeks. He gently caress Beams face with his right tumb because of that Beam wakes up.
"Forth..." He said and slowly get up to sit straight and face Forth.
"He fall asleep already...come let me take you to your room." Said Forth.
But instead of agreeing to Forth to go to his room, Beam speak. "He knew?" He asked and Forth nods. "I heard everything..i don't have a slight idea that Benjamin knows everything" he said between sobs.
Forth then shifted to his side on the sofa and hug Beam. "Sshhh..don't cry baby, it's a good thing that he knows everything. You raised him well baby, i am so proud of you, you raised him as a good man, our son is so bright and intelligent, and he act as if he is not seven years old." Forth said and he chuckled, Beam also chuckled
"Yah..sometimes i wonder if i really gave birth to a seven years old or to a thirty seven years old." Said Beam laughing.
"Yah.." -Forth said laughing "lets go to your room, you need to take a rest too, tomorrow we will talk it out again with Benjamin, but for now you need to rest..hmmm?"said Forth while patting Beams head and back and Beam just nods. Forth bring Beam to his room and also tucked him to bed.
"Good night baby, i'll take my leave now, i will be back again tomorrow morning" he said.
Beam hold his hands. "Stay" he said looking at Forths eyes pleadingly.
"Are you sure?" He asked and Beam just nods. "But i don't have my clothes here baby."
"Go to my closet, you still have your clothes there, it's a bit old but not worn out" said Beam and Forth just smile and kiss Beams forehead and go to the closet and get the clothes and clean himself at the bathroom.
"He still kept my clothes," he thought to himself. After 15 minutes he went out the bathroom, wearing his old clothes, infairness it still fits to him. He walked to the bed and saw Beam already fall asleep. He carefully lie down on the bed not to wake Beam up, join him on the duvet. When Beam felt his presence on the bed, Beam instantly move his body and hug Forth placing his head on his chest. That's what he do when Forth and him were together.
Forth place his right arm under Beams nape and scoot closer to Beam, his left arm embracing Beams waist, and soon they both drifted to sleep.
