You and Lando Norris have been best friends since you can remember. Your mothers were each other's friends so you grew up together. You were always inseparable in your youth. But since Lando started dating, things have changed. When Lando met Luisa, you were not really a fan of her. You are opposites and it feels to you like Luisa is doing everything she can to drive Lando and you apart. She's also very mean to you and you have no idea why.
For next week you have invited yourself to go with Lando to Miami. Lando has chosen not to say anything to Luisa in order to keep the mood up. You're really looking forward to it, the races in America are different from the ones in Europe. And you have a busy programme planned for yourself.
Lando and you arrive in Miami on Monday, you have first planned to explore Miami Beach for yourself, after all it is a kind of holiday for you! Lando has asked you to come along to the golf course at the end of the afternoon. You don't golf yourself but he wants your mental support during golf. Because he asked so sweetly, you agreed to go with him.
"Yes nice shot!" you shout from the golf cart. You sit down in the golf cart with your face in the sun. "Hahaha, if that was sarcastic I'll get you Y/N," says Lando. A few other people come running up and start a conversation with Lando. Because you are busy sunbathing, you don't quite notice who the person is who is talking to Lando. Then you hear Lando and the man making plans for the evening and try to hear what is being said. You suddenly notice that the man talking to Lando is Kygo. " If you like you can come on stage tonight." Kygo says to Lando. "Yeah, super cool!" shouts Lando. Then Lando looks at you. "That's my best friend Y/N, can she come too?" asks Lando to Kygo. "Sure! I would really like that," says Kygo and he introduces himself to you.
That afternoon Lando plays a lot of golf and Kygo stays in the golf cart with you. You have a very nice and cosy afternoon and Kygo is very funny. After a while you see Lando busy on the phone and you see that he is stressed. You know it is Luisa and she probably saw your Instagram post and now knows you are in Miami. Lando comes walking towards you: "We are going Y/N" he says harshly. "Oh, I'm actually having a really fun time. What's going on?" you ask. "Especially not interfering Y/N, just come now. Kygo has to prepare for tonight anyway." Says Lando grumpily. You look at Kygo: "Well, tonight I'll be there! Maybe we'll see each other then.".
"Do you have to be like this with me?" you ask Lando. "Yes you understand I didn't want Luisa to know you were here right?" says Lando. "We don't have a romantic relationship, Lando. I wouldn't know why I should give an explanation for myself." you shout and walk away in the direction of the hotel. Lando doesn't follow you and tries to call his girlfriend again. Well that was a nasty end to a beautiful afternoon. You let it slip away and get yourself ready for the evening.
You have been given a VIP seat in the crowd by Kygo. This way you can stand normally but still get everything from the show. You are very happy with your seat and enjoy the music. The moment Lando is also allowed on stage, you are overwhelmed with pride. They play "Higher Love", one of your favourite songs, which makes you smile like an idiot in the audience. This really is the night of your life.

During the Saturday you get a bit bored. It is extremely hot and no matter how lightly you are dressed, you would kill for a cold drink and a bit of entertainment. After hanging out at the McLaren motor home, you go in search of some more entertainment, walk around a corner and bump into someone. "Nice to see you again!" says Kygo. Surprised, you look at him: "Sorry I wasn't paying attention! But it's really nice to see you again! "Do you feel like going for a drink?". "Please," you say and you walk to a rooftop terrace.
When you are two you feel comfortable. Kygo is a really good guy. "Lando is a jerk for not appreciating you more!" says Kygo to you. You look at him "It was different before he got into a relationship, now he runs after his girlfriend and when he's stressed he takes it out on me." you say with a sad smile. "That's not good Y/N." says Kygo. "I know that, but I am in a different place in his life now. I just want to be there for him.". "I still have a few hours before I fly somewhere else, I can make you feel special." Kygo suddenly says very seriously. You start laughing, "Oh okay." You know Lando would be incredibly pissed if he found out you were suddenly gone. But right now you are not Lando's priority, so you choose that he is not your priority either. "I'll go with you," you tell Kygo. He gives you a hug and clinks his glass against yours "Here's to you!". You smile at him, "Here's to a great adventure!".
